Buried deep in the bowels of Fire Mountain inside a huge cavern with criss-cross catwalk platforms hung the chain cube like a square diamond. Some of these walkways extend spanning from one wall to the nearest wall out over the lava stream. The light coming from the lava below as it bathes the whole cavern in a dark orange light which lighted the cavern. The cavern seemed silent except for the sounds of the bubbling lava and steam escaping. There was one sound that was not in harmony with the lava entomb structure of the volcano. It was the sound of a heartbeat - long and slow - the heart of the mountain.The Fire Dwarfs far above the Cube Chamber had no idea that this cube existed under their home. The reckoning of the cube first built when the world was young. The purpose of the cube is that it serves as a jail of a sort. Aamox, God of the Dwarfs built the cube. He alone forged the heavy chains, anchoring the chains into the sides of the cube then ultimately hangs the cube over the huge bed of lava. The other gods, created a portal at the end of the catwalk, next to the center of the suspended cube. This portal, should it ever be needed, would lead the gods inside the cube. Inside the cube is a huge labyrinth filled with dangers such as traps and creatures. At the center of this complicated labyrinth lies the Father of the Gods, Colossus.Colossus, still asleep, has been slowly gathering his Will. He was probing for anything that would help him. Fate or whatever a person would want to call it; Colossus finally found the means he sought. A Grim Reaper, formerly known as Breal Triff, has been searching for vengeance. Breal had made a deal with Death, himself, to save his beloved wife when she was dying from a snakebite while she picked blackberries. Death tricks Breal thus becoming one of the many Grim Reapers. Breal, for many eons, searched for a way to have his revenge and finally found the means. Colossus.Colossus flexed his Will again against the prison he was entombed in. His Will, even though it was weak, crashed hard against the cube wall. Trying to force his Will causes the cube to flex outwards as if being filled with air straining the straight angles of the cube. Colossus had found a weak portion of the magic that bounds the cube. His Will had attracted the Grim Reaper, formerly known as Breal, from the outside and told of his plan and what he needed to be done. Breal listens and complies with Colossus. Colossus tells Breal the whereabouts of his heart and to partake a portion of his heart which would give the Grim Reaper the mantle of Allon, God of Damnation.Inside the Cube Chamber, Allon listens to Colossus of his plan. Finally, the Father of the Gods stated it was time for his children to be punished. He was going to make them pay for banishing him inside the cube.Another small tremor grasps Fire Mountain shaking small pebbles down the mountainsides.
