Whether you are a career serviceman or woman, or serving for a term, you and your family face many hardships that meet you head-on. Your mental, spiritual, and physical state will be challenged, and you will incur many difficulties that you must overcome. Some of the challenges also come from the communities and countries you serve in. While serving, your faith in God may be questioned and your attitude toward your faith could be compromised by a myriad of difficult situations. This is when you must draw strength from God to let his light shine and emanate from you. Others' lives may depend on you and by letting your faith shine, you have an opportunity to bring others into the family of God. Your service is not a time to camouflage your faith; in fact, it is a great opportunity to use this worldwide platform to show that your Christian faith does not need to be camouflaged and concealed. No, it is a time to let God have control and lead you in your successful career and show others, through your Christ-centered life, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Richard takes you on a journey through the Armor of God in Ephesians 6 and utilizes the scriptures to help you understand the armor and weapons you must wear and take up to defend your faith and Jesus Christ. Richard shares much of what he experienced throughout his military career. He also shares his personal life and how he drew strength from the scriptures, prayer, and fellow Christians throughout his career. His prayer is that you utilize this book to be encouraged and to be proud of your faith. May you encourage others to come to know Christ through your walk.

Have you ever wondered what the true Biblical, post-apocalyptic, End Times will look like? Where society has totally collapsed and evil forces are at work, both worldwide and locally, to take control of what is left? In this SHTF/prepper doomsday scenario, nuclear bombs smuggled into shipping containers have blown up several American port cities. Riots have broken out among the hungry survivors. ISIS terrorists have sabotaged train tracks to cause derailments, poisoned municipal water supplies, smuggled ground-to-air missiles into the country and shot down passenger airplanes, and crop-dusted crowded cities with Ebola. Others have attacked electrical sub-stations to shut down the electrical grid and make sure that anyone left alive is in the dark, just as with an EMP. In the face of all this death and destruction, most of the survivors foolishly try and prepare for a return to normalcy. Several Christian prepper families have converged upon an agreed-upon retreat location to try and survive what is clearly a final break-down of society, just as was predicted in the Bible. Join Jesse, his wife Mary, their daughter Melissa, and their prepper friends from church who have, after years of prepping and stockpiling supplies, are forced to go to their retreat location in hopes of fighting and surviving all of the multiple threats to come.

Heresy Magic And Witchcraft In Early Modern Europe written by Gary K Waite and has been published by Bloomsbury Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-10-10 with History categories.

In the fifteenth century many authorities did not believe Inquisitors' stories of a supposed Satanic witch sect. However, the religious conflict of the sixteenth-century Reformation - especially popular movements of reform and revolt - helped to create an atmosphere in which diabolical conspiracies (which swept up religious dissidents, Jews and magicians into their nets) were believed to pose a very real threat. Fear of the Devil and his followers inspired horrific incidents of judicially-approved terror in early modern Europe, leading after 1560 to the infamous witch hunts. Bringing together the fields of Reformation and witchcraft studies, this fascinating book reveals how the early modern period's religious conflicts led to widespread confusion and uncertainty. Gary K. Waite examines in-depth how church leaders dispelled rising religious doubt by persecuting heretics, and how alleged infernal plots, and witches who confessed to making a pact with the Devil, helped the authorities to reaffirm orthodoxy. Waite argues that it was only when the authorities came to terms with pluralism that there was a corresponding decline in witch panics.

Many Christians have written and spoken a great deal about the evil of atheism in one form or another. This book lays no claim for promoting atheism. The author strongly feels that a faith and a belief in a God and a subsequent religion which follows, is a matter of a personal choice. What the book does claim, is the facts that are hidden in Christianity, as a cover up for all the misdeeds that took place in the garb of religion six thousand years ago, if we are to go by the Christian calendar, and what is taking place today is the continuation of a trend that began in BCE.

History Religion And Antisemitism written by Gavin I. Langmuir and has been published by Univ of California Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1990-05-08 with History categories.

Gavin I. Langmuir's work on the formation and nature of antisemitism has earned him an international reputation. In History, Religion, and Antisemitism he bravely confronts the problems that arise when historians have to describe and explain religious phenomena, as any historian of antisemitism must. How, and to what extent, can the historian be objective? Is it possible to discuss Christian attitudes toward Jews, for example, without adopting the historical explanations of those whose thoughts and actions one is discussing? What, exactly, does the historian mean by "religion" or "religious"? Langmuir's original and stimulating responses to these questions reflect his inquiry into the approaches of anthropology, sociology, and psychology and into recent empirical research on the functioning of the mind and the nature of thought. His distinction between religiosity, a property of individuals, and religion, a social phenomenon, allows him to place unusual emphasis on the role of religious doubts and tensions and the irrationality they can produce. Defining antisemitism as irrational beliefs about Jews, he distinguishes Christian anti-Judaism from Christian antisemitism, demonstrates that antisemitism emerged in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries because of rising Christian doubts, and sketches how the revolutionary changes in religion and mentality in the modern period brought new faiths, new kinds of religious doubt, and a deadlier expression of antisemitism. Although he developed it in dealing with the difficult question of antisemitism, Langmuir's approach to religious history is important for historians in all areas.

This book was written in the hopes of strengthening the faith of believers and of presenting strong evidence to nonbelievers of the veracity of the Scriptures. Over and over again, the Bible has come under attack, only to be vindicated. And over and over again, professing atheists have become strong believers in God after doing research, with the very purpose of disproving the Scriptures. I believe there is overwhelming evidence from various fields of study to support Christian beliefs. This book could be valuable in helping teachers to address areas of doubt that students may have regarding the Scriptures. The chapters could be used as individual lessons. For nonbelievers, the gospel message is for us to realize that we are sinners in need of a Savior and that Jesus, the sinless Son of God, provided the perfect sacrifice to pay for our sins on the cross. By acknowledging this to God, we are saved by grace. The story of the prodigal son is a well-known Bible story. Really, it is much more the story of the father than of the son. It shows that if we repent and come to God, he will run to meet us with open arms. Instead of seeing God as someone with a spindly finger shaking at you, I hope you will realize his great love for you and come to him. He is just a prayer away. We are all left with our own choice to make. I hope you choose Jesus.

Tan Ta Sen has modestly suggested that, as a book to illustrate the peaceful impact of culture contact, he is concerned to show how such cultural influences not only led to transmissions, conversions and transferences involving Inner Asian Muslims from China and Yunnan Muslims, Chams, Javanese, Malays, Arabs and Indians, but also enabled many Chinese in the Malay world to retain their non-Muslim cultural traits. In placing Cheng Ho's voyages in this context, the author offers a fresh perspective on a momentous set of events in Chinese maritime history. Professor Wang Gungwu, National University of Singapore.Tan Ta Sen's book on Cheng Ho and Islam in Southeast Asia is not the first one on the subject, but it is the first book that puts Cheng Ho's voyages in the larger context of "e;culture contact"e; in China and beyond. He has garnered numerous sources, from published documents to architectural sites and buildings, to support his arguments. He has done much more than previous scholars writing on this subject. - Professor Leo Suryadinata, Chinese Heritage Centre (Singapore). This long-awaited book is welcomed by the academic community ... Tan Ta Sen has used historical facts to strengthen the argument on the existence of the "e;Third Wave"e;, i.e. "e;the Chinese Wave"e;, in the spread of Islam in the Southeast Asian region. Until now, we only know two major waves, i.e. the India-Gujarat Wave and the Middle East Wave through the development of trade relations. - Professor A. Dahana, University of Indonesia (Jakarta).
