A couple years ago I wrote a book called The Tabernacle, A Journey of Faith. What caught my attention as I wrote was the idea that a nation literally camped around God's Presence (contained in the Holy of Holies of the Tabernacle). I began to question what that would look like~ to have a "nation" of believers camped around God's manifest Presence. I began to dream about generations being marked by God's Presence...no longer settling for "normal". In the book of Exodus we see the Israelites led by Moses out of Egypt into the wilderness in order for the Lord to establish a nation for Himself. His desire was to dwell with man. God longs to dwell with mankind. The Tabernacle was God's way to be with us~ Exodus 25:8 says, "Have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them." The Israelites literally camped around God's fiery Presence. They pitched their tents around the Tabernacle, where the cloud of God's Presence rested by day and the fire of God's Presence rested at night. Their life was centered around God. What about your home? Who or what are you "camped" around? What is the atmosphere being created in your home? Come on this journey~ seeking to center your family's life around God's fiery Presence.

This is an invitation to enter into a season of being hidden away with Almighty God; to unite your heart to His; to engage in relationship with Him. You are invited into a place of peace, refuge, joy, friendship, fellowship, vulnerability, intimacy and acceptance. God longs to meet with you. He desires to speak tenderly to you. He waits for your response to Him. Perhaps you: *have never prayed before except in times of great need *do not believe that prayer is effective *are broken by the pressures of life or disappointments *have prayed for many years and have not seen the answers you desired *feel like God is distant and remote *avoid prayer because you feel ashamed, sinful, or unworthy *have tried prayer and it didn't seem to work *are faithless or feel that you have just a little faith *love to pray and have been one who has enjoyed the secret place of prayer for many years, but you still long for more of God No matter where you are, the Father's heart is open wide to welcome you to come into the quiet place of prayer. God receives us just as we are. There are no "prerequisites" to meeting with Him. Jesus is all about relationship. This secret place experience is a time to fix your eyes on Jesus as His eyes are fixed on you. He wants to fellowship with you. Each chapter is divided into five days, so you can read one day of each chapter for five days in a week. There are questions at the end of each day (and sometimes in the reading) that you can answer in this book or write out in a journal. Take your time as you go through this book. My goal is that you will fall in love with Jesus more and more, knowing that He is so very much in love with you! Don't hurry through this just to finish allow the Holy Spirit to breathe the DNA of Jesus into your body, soul & spirit!

LIVE YOUR LIFE WITH CLARITY & COURAGE AS YOU GROW IN UNDERSTANDING ISRAEL, THE RETURN OF THE KING, & HIS MISSION TO SEE THE NATIONS SING. Believers from all backgrounds are beckoned to care about Israel because it's not a side topic-it's a critical aspect of the good news of the gospel. Jesus has a beautiful plan He set in motion at creation, and He's not giving up on what He wanted from the start. This book will anchor you in biblical hope, setting you on a path to be free from the fleeting cares of this age and engage wholeheartedly with the mission of God. It's a must-read for missionaries and church leaders to get a glimpse into the burning heart of God for Israel and to see why Jerusalem is epically important in Jesus' mission for the earth. Today, there circulates many waves and winds of doctrine that cloud the lens through which believers read the Bible. This book aims to cut through the noise and deliver you from the confusion, blindness, and ignorance that have crept into the body of Christ regarding God's purpose for Israel. You'll get tethered to the heartbeat of God that thunders from Genesis to Revelation, and care more deeply about Jesus' glorious future for Israel. ____ "A must read for the younger generations as well as for all." -Don Finto "This book will impart a vision in your heart and an unshakable hope." -Joel Richardson "Experience the exhilaration of living for Jesus' mission today." -Murray and Deborah Hiebert

An investigation into the underpinnings and superstructures of the Pagan world view Pagan religions have tended to be more concerned with practice that with theory and in a system that has no dogma - no legislated doctrine - that is as it should be. Yet as the movement grows and matures, it is inevitable that we will begin to think in a more abstract way about our models and systems. John Michael Greer has provided a primer on the kinds of ideas and themes that must be included in any discussion of the theology and philosophy of Neo-pagan religions. Much of the book takes shape in a dialogue with existing ideas in theology, philosophy, and comparative religion. It looks to find a middle ground between too much and too little reference to the work of other scholars to find a comprehensible yet intellectually rigorous middle ground. It aims to be part of a conversation, that stretches out over the centuries. Voices of polytheist spirituality have had little place in that conversation for many years, but much of value has been said in their absence. The rebirth of polytheism as a living religious tradition in the Western world will inevitably force a reassessment of much of that heritage, and pose challenges to some of its most cherished assumptions. Yet reassessment is not necessarily rejection, and the traditions of modern polytheism are deeply enough indebted to legacies from the past that an attentive ear to earlier phases of the conversation is not out of place.

Most people spend more time each day preparing to go to bed then they do preparing for the final act of their lives which is death. We spend more time figuring out the answers to questions that will be posed by a teacher or boss than we do to the Supreme Judge who will ask for an account of our lives. We spend more time worrying and planning for the what ifs in life than we do over the assured events that will happen upon our departure from this life. What would happen if we were to spend half the time used preparing for this temporal life to prepare for eternal life? This book invites you to prepare for the greatest adventure of all.

Is there hope to be found in the wilderness? Jesus' forty days in the wilderness, which many Christians remember during Lent, echoes the story of God's people wandering for forty years in the wilderness. The book of Numbers tells of these wanderings but can be a difficult book of the Bible to get to grips with. Delving into this book alongside the New Testament and reflecting with prayers and questions, this daily Lent devotional explores how the Israelites' wilderness journey can speak to us in our daily struggles and challenges today. Through all the ups-and-downs of their wilderness adventure, we join with God's people as they learn to see the sure and certain fulfilment of God's future promises in the book of Numbers. We discover God's abiding presence through, as well as in, the wilderness. We see how the wilderness points us forward to the Promised Land, and to Jesus as the One who brings us into the fulness of God's promises. With readings from Numbers and from the New Testament each day, Journeying with God in the Wilderness guides us through an often-neglected book of the Bible, helping us to make sense of the Old Testament through the lens of the New and giving us Christ-centred hope. Journeying with God in the Wilderness is written as an aide to the spiritual journey of faith and can be read either individually or in small groups. It will encourage and inspire anyone feeling lost or bewildered on life's journey, or who wants to join in with the long Christian tradition of Lent as a wilderness experience, by showing them the fulfilment of the promises of God to his people in the wilderness. Join Mark Broadway this Lent and find hope for your wilderness journey.

Life Unsettled written by Cory Driver and has been published by Fortress Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-08-10 with Religion categories.

Increasingly, many Christians and spiritual seekers feel they are in a sort of wilderness space where the familiar, settled, and normal parts of life have become unsettled, out of balance. More and more people are evaluating their lives and asking, "Where to now?" In Life Unsettled, Cory Driver uses the metaphor of wilderness journeying (a hallmark of the life of faith across the millennia) and the study of biblical texts, ancient Jewish legends, modern theological insights, and his own personal journeys to provide a guide for moving forward when we feel lost and confused. The biblical book of Numbers takes center stage in the author's creative musings about life in the wilderness. The Hebrew title of Numbers is Bemidbar, which means "In the Wilderness." In this oft-overlooked book are stories of God's passionate intimacy and anger, communal formation and struggles, and personal failures and triumphs. The author shows how the wilderness journey in Numbers has a deep relevance for our time and for our personal journeys. The book includes a discussion guide ideal for group use.
