Bahkan, salah seorang pemimpin negara modem masih terpengaruh dengan ramalan mistik dalam aktivitas kenegaraan. Misalnya, mantan Presiden Amerika yang bemama Ronald Reagan. Orang ini sangat mempercayai ramalan perbintangan. Ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pendidikan dan lingkungan yang modern, tanpa dibarengi akidah Islamiyah yang kokoh, tidak menjamin seseorang terbebas dari belenggu takhayul. Sihir memang mempunyai hakikat. Sihir juga mempunyai tingkatan-tingkatan. Kekuatan pengaruh sihir tergantung besarnya pengabdian yang diberikan kepada setan. Sarana untuk mewujudkan sihir pun beragam macamnya. Akan tetapi, sekuat apa pun bentuknya, sihir bisa diatasi dengan Al-Qur'an dan sunah Nabi. Pengamalan ilmu hikmah merupakan suatu kebiasaan yang sering dilakukan bagi masyarakat Banten. Karena tingginya suatu kepercayaan terhadap hal-hal yang bersifat supranatural. Masyarakat Bojonegara masih meyakini bahwa dengan pengamalan ilmu hikmah segala urusan baik urusan sosial maupun ekonomi dapat tercapai karena menganggap ilmu hikmah mempunyai kekuatan yang dapat mempercepat keinginan secara pragmatis. Bagi masyarakat Bojonegara ilmu hikmah yang berkembang saat ini ialah suatu amalan yang berupa ayat al-Qur`an, do`a-do`a tertentu, wirid dan hizib yang semata-mata dijadikan sebagai ikhtiyar untuk mendekatkan diri dan meminta pertolongan kepada Allah SWT. Akan tetapi tanpa disadari masih banyak masyarakat yang praktek pengamalannya tidak sesuai dengan ajaran Islam Untuk Pengamalan ilmu hikmah tersebut biasanya, para warga dapat berguru kepada sang kiyai, yang mengajarkan ilmu hikmahnya melalui pesantren-pesantren, khusunya pesantren salafi, dari berbagai macam ilmu hikmah yang di ajarkan lewat pesantren-pesantren tersebut, maka penulis tertarik untuk meneliti tentang bagaiman memperoleh ilmu hikmah Wirid Hizib Asror dan Penyimpa-ngan prakteknya dalam masyarakat Bojonegara Serang Banten Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: Untuk mendiskripsikan tentang apa itu ilmu hikmah Wirid Hizib Asror, bagaimana proses memperoleh dan manfaat lmu hikmah Wirid Hizib Asror, bagaimana kedudukan ilmu hikmah dalam epistemologi, serta mendiskripsikan praktek pengamalan masyarakat sesuai dengan ajaran Islam dan yang tidak sesuai dengan ajaran Islam. Penelitian ini, menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan Pendekatan epistemologi Islam, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan Library Research dan Field Research. Ilmu Hikmah Wirid Hizib Asror ialah amalan-amalan baik berupa bacaan zikir, dan do`a-do`a yang mampuh memberikan kekuatan spiritual yang bersifat rahasia, yang diperoleh melalui niat, adanya seorang guru, berijazah, berpuasa,wirid, dan Istiqamah. Kemanfaatan dari ilmu hikmah Wirid Hizib Asror membantu mempercepat tercapainya keinginan menolak suatu bahaya, dan pengobatan. Serta dilihat dari sebuah kedudukannya dalam epistemologi Ilmu hikmah Wirid Hizib Asror jelas dapat dikatakan sebagai epistemologi, sebab unsur-unsur dari sub ontologi, epistemologi dan aksiologinya terpenuhi.

In Life in Freedom Michael Amaladoss analyzes the many rich and complex strands of Asian religious thought on the notion and nature of the path toward liberation. As he shows, Asian "liberation theology" departs significantly from the Latin American model, with which it is commonly compared. Rather than put primary emphasis on economic issues, Asian cultures give much greater priority to the role of religion in the composition of a healthy society. In Part One Amaladoss discusses current liberation movements and thought in Korea, the Philippines, and India. In two other chapters, he shows also that the awakening of women is integral to the search for human freedom and development and the growing importance sound ecological policies in any valid approach to liberation in Asia. In Part Two Amaladoss discusses non-Christian approaches to human liberation and freedom, showing how the lives and thought of influential figures of other faiths have given distinctive shape to Asian approaches to liberation. Buddhists such as Thich Nhat Hanh and Hindus such as Mahatma Gandhi and E.V. Ramaswamy show that hostility to religion is remote from the most characteristic Asian liberation movements. Gandhi's entire politics was rooted in the notion that "to attain Truth or to realize God is the goal of human life." But God [for Gandhi] is realized concretely in the world and particularly in other people. Service to others then becomes a way to God and ultimately to human liberation. Similarly, Confucian traditions embody a deeply indigenous, Asian way of constructing reality as a sacred whole. In that construct, liberation and freedom take on meanings and dimensions functionally religious in the way they anchor individuals and the community to the cosmic whole. In Part Three, Amaladoss gives his own analysis and prophetic overview on how the plurality of images of liberation enriches the possibility for interreligious cooperation in overcoming the forces of oppression in Asia.
