Lady Caroline Lamb written by P. Douglass and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-12-17 with Literary Criticism categories.

Lady Caroline Lamb , among Lord Byron's many lovers, stands out - vilified, portrayed as a self-destructive nymphomaniac - her true story has never been told. Now, Paul Douglass provides the first unbiased treatment of a woman whose passions and independence were incompatible with the age in which she lived. Taking into account a traumatic childhood, Douglass explores Lamb's so-called 'erotomania' and tendency towards drug abuse and madness - problems she and Byron had in common. In this portrait, she emerges as a person who sacrificed much for the welfare of a sick child, and became an artist in her own right. Douglass illuminates her novels and poetry, her literary friendships, and the lifelong support of her husband and her publisher, John Murray.

Current, State-of-the-Art Medical Content The Seventh Edition includes in-depth coverage of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology to form an advanced understanding of the human body and disease processes expected of today's paramedic. Three new chapters have been added to this edition: Community Paramedicine, Research and Quality, and Mechanical Ventilation. The first two represent areas of growth in the scope, role, and importance of paramedics in an integrated health care system. The third acknowledges the paramedics' ability to provide advanced therapies prior to arrival at the hospital, and a growing reliance on paramedics in transfer of critically ill patients in a regionalized delivery of care. Clear Approach to Patient Assessment and Management The Seventh Edition teaches and reinforces the concept of patient assessment with a single, comprehensive chapter, ensuring that students understand patient assessment as a single, integrated process--the way that providers actually practice it in the field. Each clinical chapter reinforces the steps of the patient assessment process within the context of the illnesses or injuries discussed in the chapter. Strong Application to Real-World EMS Patient case studies evolve throughout every chapter, offering students a genuine context for the application of the knowledge presented. This approach shows the student how all of the information will be used to help patients in the field. An additional case concludes each chapter and presents critical-thinking questions to cement the chapter's concepts. The Seventh Edition continues Dr. Caroline's legacy with world-class medical content written in a manner that is relevant to today's practice of paramedicine.

The Caroline Divines And The Church Of Rome written by Mark Langham and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-10-04 with Religion categories.

In the early seventeenth century, as the vehement aggression of the early Reformation faded, the Church of England was able to draw upon scholars of remarkable ability to present a more thoughtful defence of its position. The Caroline Divines, who flourished under King Charles I, drew upon vast erudition and literary skill, to refute the claims of the Church of Rome and affirm the purity of the English religious settlement. This book examines their writings in the context of modern ecumenical dialogue, notably that of the Anglican-Roman Catholic International Commission (ARCIC) to ask whether their arguments are still valid, and indeed whether they can contribute to contemporary ecumenical progress. Drawing upon an under-used resource within Anglicanism’s own theological history, this volume shows how the restatement by the Caroline Divines of the catholic identity of the Church prefigured the work of ARCIC, and provides Anglicans with a vocabulary drawn from within their own tradition that avoids some of the polemical and disputed formulations of the Roman Catholic tradition.
