Der dritte und letzte Katalogband zu den Papierhandschriften aus dem Domkapitel Freising umfasst Beschreibungen nach den Richtlinien der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft zu insgesamt 178 lateinischen Handschriften Freisinger Provenienz. Er bildet den Abschluss der Tiefenerschlieaung dieses bedeutsamen Bestands nach den 1999 und 2011 erschienenen Banden von Gunter Glauche. Den groaten Anteil mit 169 Handschriften haben die Papierhandschriften aus der Bibliothek des Domkapitels, darunter auch 27 Handschriften, die man nach der Sakularisation mangels eindeutiger Provenienzkriterien zunachst nicht dem Freisinger Fonds zuordnen konnte und im Bereich des lateinischen Supplements' aufgestellt hatte. Ferner wurden neun Handschriften aus den Bibliotheken der Freisinger Franziskaner und Pramonstratenser sowie der Sakularkanoniker zu St.Andreas bearbeitet. Neben den mittelalterlichen Handschriften enthalt der Katalog auch 34 fruhneuzeitliche Handschriften gleicher Provenienzen. Der zeitliche Schwerpunkt der Handschriften aus der Dombibliothek liegt mit 137 Handschriften auf dem Spatmittelalter. Als inhaltliche Schwerpunkte sind neben Patristik, Bibelkommentaren sowie scholastischer und Pastoraltheologie insbesondere Kommentare zu Kirchen- und Zivilrecht von Professoren der Universitaten Padua und Bologna, konziliaristische und papstkritische Literatur sowie Werke der klassischen Antike und des Humanismus zu nennen. Der Freisinger Bestand gewahrt instruktive Einblicke in Entwicklung und Bestandsvermehrung (durch Legate und Kauf) sowie in die Nutzung, Organisation und Pflege (im Bereich der Signaturen, Kataloge und Einbande) dieser traditionsreichen Sammlung.
