Christian Wicca: Oxymoron or the Best of Both World? Finally, a how-to guide for practicing Wicca, celebrating the return of the original Christian Trinity: the Father, the Mother, and the Holy Son Jesus. This book is written expressly for Wiccans who wish to walk the spiritual path of earth-based religions, but do not wish to surrender their Judeo-Christian background. Nancy now offers a simple solution to the rapidly emerging ChristoPagan community. Wicca, the Old Religion, or the religion of the wise, is the fastest growing form of spirituality in the United States. Many modern and eclectic Christians have no problem recognizing Jesus as Lord, but instead have a problem accepting the dogma of the organized church. Seekers are also feeling the absense of the Female aspect of the Divine and wish to re-establish the Goddess in their spirituality. In the wake of the discoveries of the Nag Hammadi Library, for the first time since 100-300 A.C.E. - the yin of the Christian faith is seeking to restore it's yang! Despite the overwhelming evidence that there is a Divine Mother --- no one has applied this information to Wicca and the Holy Days of the Wheel of the Year. "Christian Wicca: the Trinitarian Tradition" does this very task, outlining the Sabbats, the Esbats to include the Holy Trinity . . . also introducing observances expressly for Jesus, called Kyriats! Blessed Be!!

In the year 2020, the book Christian Wicca: The Trinitarian Tradition celebrates its 17th anniversary in publication. Trinitarian Wicca is one of the many emerging Christopagan paths resulting from an amalgamation of the Craft with Goddess-inclusive hermetic and pre-Nicene Christianity. It is based on the merger of two existing traditions, Alexandrian and Dianic Wicca. This tradition is the practice of Wicca acknowledging the Blessed Trinity and the Elohian pantheon as the practitioner's choice of deities, recognizing the male God, the female Goddess, and the Solar Lord Jesus.

What is Wicca? Is it witchcraft, Paganism, occultism, esotericism, magic, spirituality, mysticism, nature religion, secrecy, gnosis, the exotic or 'other'? Wicca has been defined by and explored within all these contexts over the past thirty years by anthropologists, sociologists and historians, but there has been a tendency to sublimate and negate the role of Christianity in Wicca's historical and contemporary contexts. Joanne Pearson 'prowls the borderlands of Christianity' to uncover the untold history of Wicca. Exploring the problematic nature of the Wiccan claim of marginality, it contains a groundbreaking analysis of themes in Christian traditions that are inherent in the development of contemporary Wicca. These focus on the accusations which have been levelled against Catholisicm, heterodoxy and witchcraft throughout history: ritual, deviant sexuality and magic.

Wicca written by Ethan Doyle White and has been published by Liverpool University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-10-01 with Religion categories.

The past century has born witness to a growing interest in the belief systems of ancient Europe, with an array of contemporary Pagan groups claiming to revive these old ways for the needs of the modern world. By far the largest and best known of these Paganisms has been Wicca, a new religious movement that can now count hundreds of thousands of adherents worldwide. Emerging from the occult milieu of mid twentieth-century Britain, Wicca was first presented as the survival of an ancient pre-Christian Witch-Cult, whose participants assembled in covens to venerate their Horned God and Mother Goddess, to celebrate seasonal festivities, and to cast spells by the light of the full moon. Spreading to North America, where it diversified under the impact of environmentalism, feminism, and the 1960s counter-culture, Wicca came to be presented as a Goddess-centred nature religion, in which form it was popularised by a number of best-selling authors and fictional television shows. Today, Wicca is a maturing religious movement replete with its own distinct world-view, unique culture, and internal divisions. This book represents the first published academic introduction to be exclusively devoted to this fascinating faith, exploring how this Witches' Craft developed, what its participants believe and practice, and what the Wiccan community actually looks like. In doing so it sweeps away widely-held misconceptions and offers a comprehensive overview of this religion in all of its varied forms. Drawing upon the work of historians, anthropologists, sociologists, and scholars of religious studies, as well as the writings of Wiccans themselves, it provides an original synthesis that will be invaluable for anyone seeking to learn about the blossoming religion of modern Pagan Witchcraft.

Christian Goddess Spirituality written by Mary Ann Beavis and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-10-08 with Religion categories.

This monograph focuses on "Christian Goddess Spirituality" (CGS), the phenomenon of (mostly) women who combine Christianity and Goddess Spirituality, including Wicca/Witchcraft. Mary Ann Beavis’s study provides ethnographic data and analysis on the lived religious experience of CGS practitioners, drawing on interviews of over 100 women who self-identify as combining Christianity and Goddess spirituality. Although CGS also has implications for Goddess Spirituality and related traditions (e.g., Neopaganism, Wicca), here, CGS is considered primarily as a phenomenon within Christianity. However, the study also shows that the fusion of Christian and Goddess spiritualties has had an impact on non-Christian feminist spirituality, since Goddess-worshippers have often constructed Christianity as the diametrical opposite and enemy of the Goddess, to the point that some refuse to admit the possibility that CGS is a valid spiritual path, or that it is even possible. In addition, biblical, Jewish and Christian images of the divine such as Sophia, Shekhinah, the Virgin Mary, and even Mary Magdalene, have found their way into the "Pagan" Goddess pantheon. The main themes of the study include: overlaps and differences between Christian feminist theology and CGS; the routes to CGS for individual practitioners, and their beliefs, practices and experiences; proto-denominational classifications ("spiritual paths") within CGS; CGS thealogy (Christian discourse about the female divine); and the future of CGS in social scientific and ecclesiological context. Christian Goddess Spirituality will be of interest to scholars of religion, especially those with interests in women and religion, feminist spiritualities, feminist theology/thealogy, alternative spiritualities, New Religious Movements, and emergent Christianities.

The Christian Witch written by Albertus Crowley and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-08-08 with categories.

The Christian Witch is a magical manual that explores the practice and way of life of being a true Christian Witch. Is it even possible to be a Christian and a witch at the same time? The answer is a resounding yes. In fact, in antiquity, many of the new Christians were witches. They happened to be witches who simply fell in love with Jesus. They continued to practice their magical craft as they embraced Jesus and His divine teachings. This handbook also reveals how you can continue to practice the craft without transgressing the word of God. Indeed, you can be a true Christian while continuing to practice the magical arts at the same time. It is also interesting to note that when Jesus was born, He was visited by three wise men -- the magi. The word magi is the plural of magus, which means magician, also from which the word magic came from. The Christian Witch is a holy key that can open the door for you, so that you can enjoy a meaningful and magical life with Jesus. These days, it is sad that many people frown upon those who practice the craft of magic and follow the teachings of Jesus at the same time. This is mainly because the thinking of most people is based on fear and interprets by the letter that kills, and not by the Spirit that gives life. Love casts out all fear, and if you truly walk with Jesus, then you shall be pure and holy. As a Christian witch, the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be the sole foundation of your spiritual life. As such, you can be sure that you are taking the path of righteousness and holiness. This handbook also teaches essential magical practices that you can do as a Christian witch, and how you can live a holy life with Jesus Christ. It should be noted that Jesus was and is not a witch or a magician, for He is the Lord, the Son of the living God. However, this does not mean that you cannot love Him if you are a witch, for love knows no bounds -- especially the love of God. It is my sincere hope that this handbook be your guiding light and show you the magical path of love to Jesus Christ. Always with love and with light, fear not; have faith, and love our Lord Jesus Christ.

How Wiccan Spirituality Is Filling a Spiritual Hunger in America Hundreds of thousands of people practice Wicca and other forms of modern Pagan spirituality in America today, and journalist Catherine Edwards Sanders wanted to understand why such belief systems are rapidly attracting followers. When a routine magazine assignment led her to realize that her stereotype of Wiccans as eccentric spiritual outsiders was embarrassingly misinformed, her curiosity compelled her to understand the Wiccan mystique. With the support of a journalism fellowship, Sanders spent a year interviewing neo-Pagans and witches and found that the lure of this emerging spirituality was not the occult, but rather a search for meaning in an increasingly fragmented and materialistic culture. With keen observation, challenging insight, and compassionate critique, Sanders produces a lively narrative about what she experienced and discovered during her travels: Halloween rituals in Salem, anti-globalization protests in New York, and the contrasts between what seekers find in neo-Paganism that they perceive as lacking in Christian tradition. In Wicca’s Charm, Sanders explains the powerful attraction of an increasingly mainstream spirituality that celebrates the wonder of creation and the life-giving energy of women while also exploring why Christian churches often fail to engage these seekers, but how they can learn to tap into the deep roots of Christianity to nourish the hunger of so many who seek a holistic and authentic worship experience.
