Bible teachers have an ideal model for evaluating their pedagogy: the Master Teacher Jesus Read through the Gospels, and you quickly reach the conclusion that Jesus was a dynamic, remarkably effective teacher; never boring, always stimulating; never obtuse, always clear; never pompous or distant, always personal and lovingly concerned," writes Roy Zuck Zuck explores Jesus' involvement of students in the learning process, his modeling of truth, his method of responding to questions, his use of rhetorical technique, visuals, and illustrations, and his attitude toward those who sat under his instruction. Zuck covers the Rabbi's overall style and its impact on disciples, the general public, and those who rejected him.

It all started about ten years ago when I wanted to renew my faith in God. Unsure of all the generated media, talking heads, and constant onslaught of commentary between various Christian and non-Christian groups, I decided to study the Bible and history on my terms. I wanted to know what the Bible actually taught and how Christianity has played out through history. I wanted to put at ease any doubts and concerns that I had regarding many of what I saw as alarming aspects and practices. It is my assumption that the teachings and guidelines of an Omnipotent Creator would have depth, logic, and refined wisdom. These teachings would transcend time and advance society through foresight and reasoning. The teachings of Jesus Christ would be as relevant today as they were then. His teachings would promote unity and understanding that is needed to develop a Christian society. These teachings and guidelines would be constructed to advance not only Christendom but the entire world through knowledge and understanding. In these writing, I will try to show my understanding of Christianity. My perspective requires that logic and morals, and common sense must accommodate the teachings of Jesus Christ and Paul. I will try to do this by using not only scripture but by using our history and present social and economic conditions. In this I will try to show the correlation between how Jesus taught and his concept of Christianity and how to advance social and economic conditions. When you read the teachings of Jesus Christ in the New Testament, you will find the highest degree of moral values, ethics, and civility. Everything about the teachings in the New Testament is set up to propel Christians to work with love, compassion, understanding, empathy, and equality so that society can advance together. Being a Christian is a commitment of dedication to living a life defined by the love of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice to the well-being and salvation of every person who has ever lived. Christianity is a higher level of maturity and dedication of responsibility to living a life free of the destructive influences of this world. This is so that you can better use your time and resources to helping and guiding others that are in need. That is what being a Christian is all about.

Christianity is in crisis. We live in a time when millions of people profoundly misunderstand the message of the Gospel. They believe that being a Christian means little more than being a nice person. They view Jesus as a wise moral teacher who showed us how to live better lives, and they conclude that the love of humanity is our greatest cause and its progress our primary purpose. Whatever else may be said of this view of Christianity, it is certainly not what Jesus taught. It is an attempt to replace the concepts of sin, redemption, and salvation with the more socially acceptable virtues of tolerance, compassion, and social progress. It elevates humanity and the world above God and his kingdom and reduces Jesus to a mere moral philosopher. But who did Jesus say he was? What was the essential message of Christ? The Gospel According to Christ answers those questions by examining the words of Jesus, in their context and in their entirety. The answers will be shocking to many Christians.

This engaging book provides a wealth of fresh theological insights and practical suggestions for anyone involved in teaching and learning Christianity.

"...say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and [to] my God, and your God." John 20:17 Most people are totally unaware of this little verse in the Gospel of John. These are the very words of Jesus. He is speaking with two female disciples after the resurrection. Is it possible that Christianity, as we know it today, is a false teaching? Conflict and Christianity explores Jesus' nature and mission; early followers, the four gospels, and the following Christian Doctrines: Christ/Deity of Christ, Trinity, Atonement, Salvation, the Second Coming, Grace, Faith, Original Sin, New Covenant, Heaven, and Hell. Check out the amazing things that this man Jesus preaches, like: "forgive and be forgiven", "I said you are gods", "enter the Kingdom of Heaven", "seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness"; or "following the Spirit is like following the wind". Take a peak inside this exciting but controversial book. And don't take B. Daniel Peterson's word for it, break out your own Bibles and learn the truth for yourselves. Go to the source of it all- where it all started- Jesus of Nazareth.

The Heart Of Jesus Teaching written by Ruth Whitney and has been published by Blue Dolphin Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-03-30 with Christianity categories.

In this daring and hopeful book, theologian Ruth Whitney calls on Christians everywhere to re-awaken to Jesus' original message: that "the presence of the divine is within" all of us and all creation: we are all sacred. Jesus' second fundamental message is LOVE-we are to love ourselves, our neighbors, even our enemies, all nature ... and the Holy One .... with all our heart. Jesus lived what he taught, and we are encouraged to follow his self-less example. As a historian of earlier times, the author cautions against blindly following established belief systems or dogmas: for example, she advises we take the Bible seriously, but not always literally. The author purposefully re-awakens discussions that arouse age-old historical debates: Who really wrote the Gospels? How did the original group of Christians develop-what were their debates and controversies, and what was the role of women? And, she explores some intriguing questions: Was Jesus spiritually, but not physically, alive after his death? Are we all human and divine, not just Jesus? Do Heaven and Hell actually exist? Did Jesus die to save us from our sins (ignorance), or were we, are we, already "saved"? When we live these two basic teachings-by seeing the Sacred presence and radiating love-Christians and our religion, the author proposes, will become so "spiritually alive" that we will naturally begin to transform our world in many both practical and intangible ways ... and create a "revolution of love." Endorsements "Writing with passion and courage, Ruth Whitney sets out to rescue Jesus from what Christianity has become. She offers fresh and radical thinking on the meaning of 'God' and afterlife, and she shows that Jesus may be the most misunderstood person in history. Whitney uncovers the moral and spiritual core of Jesus' teaching. This book is exciting and freeing." Daniel C. Maguire, Professor of Ethics at Marquette University and author and editor of thirteen books, including Whose Church? and The Moral Core of Judaism and Christianity "Ruth Whitney's new book, The Heart of Jesus' Teaching, is a radical rediscovery of the spiritual essence of Jesus' message, over against the long Christian history of dogmas about Jesus and his divine nature and redemptive work. For Whitney, the heart of Jesus' teaching is simply that God is present in all of us equally and we are all called to love and care for one another. If the Christian churches would put aside dogmas about Jesus and if Christians focus on doing Jesus' message, the world would truly be transformed." How can you improve your effectiveness as teachers? Essentially, it is by imitating THE GREAT TEACHER: Jesus Christ. You may wonder, 'But how can we imitate Jesus?' 'He was the perfect, divine, Son of God.' Admittedly, you cannot be a perfect teacher. Nevertheless, regardless of your abilities, you can do your best to imitate the way Jesus taught. THE GREAT TEACHER: Jesus Christ will discuss how you can employ all of his teaching methods. When it comes to teaching, genuine Christians have a special responsibility. We are commanded to "make disciples of all nations . . . , teaching them." [Matt. 24:14; 28:19-20; Ac 1:8] Within the congregation, Scripturally qualified men are to serve as "shepherds and teachers," to build up the body of Christ (congregation). (Eph. 4:11-13) 'Women work together with men in spreading the good news.' (Phil. 4:2-3, CEV; Ac 18:26) All of us are urged to encourage fellow believers, and we can heed that admonition by using the Bible to build up others. (1 Thess. 5:11) All of us can share in saving some fellow brothers or sisters who may have begun to doubt. (Jude 1:3, 22-23) All of us are obligated to defend the truth. (1 Pet 3:15) What a privilege it is to be a teacher of God's Word and to share spiritual values that can have long-lasting benefits!
