Analysis And Design Of Single Fed Circularly Polarized Circular Microstrip Antennas written by A. E. Abdulhadi and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007 with categories.

A novel design of a circular microstrip antenna with an additional small circular patch excited by a single feed for achieving a dual band frequency operation with circular polarization (CP) is presented. The implemented dual band circularly polarized antenna has a compact configuration that serves the technology demands requirements in mobile unit systems for smaller volume. Simulation and experimental results show that the 10 dB return-loss impedance bandwidth is better than that of a conventional single circular microstrip patch antenna. In addition, a dual frequency band operation at 2.45 GHZ and 5.2GHZ is obtained. A second antenna design suitable for an integrated circuits demand is also presented. Results demonstrate that both sense left hand and right hand circular polarization (RHCP, LHCP) can be achieved using this technique. A comparison between theoretical and experimental results is provided and shows good match. The resonance frequencies and quality of the axial ratio can be controlled by changing the radii of the two circles, and the orientation of the additional circular patch relative to the main patch. For other desired frequencies, the design of the antenna can be carried out by calculating the radii of the main and additional patch using empirical equations acquired for this design. The empirical formulas are developed based on a comprehensive parametric study where different designs and material parameters are varied to achieve an optimum antenna performance. A 64-element uniform linear array of circular microstrip patch antennas is designed and simulated for achieving circular polarization (CP) with more than (20 dB) directivity. Since the axial ratio bandwidth of the implemented antenna is narrow, a sequential rotation of radiating patches with suitable excitation phase shifting has been applied to improve the polarization purity over a wide range of frequencies with higher gain compared to a single patch.

This book introduces 5 key feeding techniques such as coaxial probe, microstrip, conformal strip, aperture, and coplanar waveguide and covers different shapes of dielectric resonator antennas leading to improvement in circularly polarized (CP) performance. It introduces advancements in the field of dielectric resonator antennas and dilectric resonator antennas (DRAs). Five different types of feeding techniques (i.e. coaxial probe, microstrip, conformal strip, aperture, and coplanar waveguide) are described for obtaining CP followed by two modified shaped DRA (sector DRAs). Throughout this book, rectangular and circular with their modified shapes of the dielectric resonator are utilized, providing differing degrees of freedom as well as different variable parameters, including length, width, height, radius, aspect ratio and dielectric constant, which are tuned to obtain the desired antenna parameters.

Reconfigurable Active And Passive Planar Antennas For Wireless Communication Systems written by Shiban Kishen Koul and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-10-14 with Technology & Engineering categories.

This book presents state-of-the-art trends in reconfigurable active and passive planar antennas and their applications in wireless communication systems operating in the frequency band 5-6 GHz. Due to various key features such as multifunction antenna design, compactness, planar nature, and low cost, these technologies are becoming popular for current and future wireless applications. This book discusses different novel antenna designs and their working principles in detail. The modern and future wireless systems require wideband antennas to accommodate various channels in a single band or in separate bands. The carrier aggregation (CA) has been introduced in the modern wireless systems such as LTE-advanced systems and 5G./6G. In CA, a device can use several channels for transmission and reception. The used channels can exist in the same frequency band (intra-band CA) or in distinct bands (inter-band CA). To accommodate more channels, more bandwidth is required within the operating band. For portable devices, circularly polarized (CP) antennas are more advantageous over linearly polarized antennas since in CP antennas, there is low risk of misalignment and, hence encountering interference. Circularly polarized antenna also provides higher link reliability for the portable devices. To provide high data rates, more bandwidth is needed to accommodate more channels. Various multifunction, compact, and wideband antennas for plethora of applications are addressed in detail in this book. The scope of developing reconfigurable active antennas for application in beam switching, beam steering, wireless charging, security systems, etc., is described. This book concludes by giving glimpses of antenna requirements for future wireless communication systems.

This book deals with the design, numerical simulation, state of the art fabrication processes and methods, qualitative and quantitative tests, and measurement techniques of wearable and flexible antennas of different topologies, such as: Planar Inverted F, Printed Monopoles, Micropoles and Microstrips. Novel trends, materials, and fabrication and measurement techniques used in this vital field of antenna systems are also discussed. To the best of the editor’s knowledge, at the time of publication, there are no published books targeting the vital topic of flexible antennas specifically and/or serving as a complete reference. There are only few books on wearable antennas that deal with specific applications and this has initiated a motivation to propose a book that would serve as a complete technical reference of the addressed technology. This book can serve as a reference source for Research and Development scientists, RF and antenna engineers working in this vital field; moreover, it could be used as a text book for Antenna Theory and Advanced Antennas courses which are mainly offered for graduate students.
