Causative Agents The organisms responsible for nosocomial infections are – staphylococcus aureus, Pesudomonas, Klebsiella, E.coli .The most common pathogen involved in hospital acquired infection of respiratory tract are Streptococcus pneumoiae, Haemophillus, Herpes, Varicella, Aspergillus, Pneumocystis carinni. The most common pathogen which is involved in hospital acquired infection of urinary tract which is highly drug resistant is Klebsiella.
