Bachelor Thesis from the year 2009 in the subject Communications - Movies and Television, grade: 2, St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences (Department IT & Medien Medientechnik), language: English, abstract: Campus TV, short "C-TV" is the name of 30 minutes of TV program, which students of the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences Media Technology produce every month. All work in C-TVs productions is done by students. Every year, the most experienced students leave the C-TV team, because they have successfully finished the education at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences Media Technology. As a result a lot of important knowledge leaves with these students. Every year a new team of students starts to work at C-TV and all necessary things for producing 30 minutes of TV have to be learned again. Next to editing, or sound mixing which students learn during the education at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences Media Technology the important part of color correction often stays behind. Unlike editing, shooting, sound mixing or recording, color correcting is not a subject at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences Media Technology. As a result most of CTVs productions since C-TV has started its productions, two years ago, did not have any color correction. Facing these facts, this work aims to be a color correction guide for Apples Final Cut Pro. The software Final Cut Pro is used for editing in C-TVs workflow. Final Cut Pro also offers inbuilt color correction software, which is powerful enough to fulfill all needs to make C-TVs productions suitable for broadcast. The work starts off with a brief overview of color science explaining color spaces and technical background knowledge on video formats. Then the author explains how to use Final Cut Pro`s color correction tools from a beginner level on. All necessary tools, buttons, and sliders, for color correction in Final Cut Pro are explained. The author uses practical examples, illustrated wi

Bachelor Thesis from the year 2007 in the subject Business economics - Offline Marketing and Online Marketing, grade: 1,0, University of Applied Sciences Wernigerode, language: English, abstract: This thesis aims at examining the impact of red on the marketing of consumer goods. It explains the way color vision is created in the human brain and emphasizes the relevance it has for individuals to help orientate in everyday surroundings. The thesis focuses on the color red as it causes strong body reactions such as the increase of blood pressure, eyelid move-ment and breathing frequency as well as the production of adrenaline. Furthermore, people’s different associations with red, e.g. blood, fire, love, hate, life and death are examined. The major part discusses the suitability of using red in the different sections of the marketing mix (Product, Price, Place and Promotion). Practical exam-ples back up literature findings and show that red can be a very helpful tool, for example, to attract customers’ attention for a shopping window or adver-tisement. Following, marketers need to consider that influencing factors such as gender, age, social status, cultural background or product-involvement affect the successful use of red. The case study of Xerox Inc. shows the applicability and popularity of red as a corporate color. At the same time, it reveals limitations to the color choice as the red logo does not differentiate Xerox from its competitors’ logos. Besides summarizing the different ideas of this thesis, the last chapter high-lights that, even though a lot of research has been done, marketers need to decide for each case specifically whether or not to use red in their marketing strategy.

Artificial Intelligence In Marketing written by IntroBooks Team and has been published by IntroBooks this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on with Business & Economics categories.

Artificial intelligence in marketing, which is commonly known as AI Marketing, is a process of striking a chord of linkage between customer statistics and artificial intelligence hypotheses. It is basically an automated learning curve for a business house on the marketing front such that it can predict a customer’s ongoing move and the next phase of action. By doing so, a business entity can easily amplify its outlook in the interests of the customer, which, in turn, displays the quality of relevant products or services in an intelligent manner to reach a larger audience. Due to the emergence of artificial intelligence marketing solutions, an effective recourse is seen apparent in terms of bonding between scientific data points, which are amassed industriously for subsequent implementation. In other words, the erstwhile process of manual hard work of assembling and analyzing a colossal quantum of data has surely become a thing of the past.

My Fellow Prisoners written by Mikhail Khodorkovsky and has been published by ABRAMS this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-02-24 with Political Science categories.

The Russian oil mogul and activist offers reflections on his decades-long incarceration under Putin in this “illuminating and brave” prison memoir (The Washington Post). Mikhail Khodorkovsky was Russia’s most successful businessman—and an outspoken critic of the Kremlin. As his oil company Yukos revived the Russian oil industry, Khodorkovsky began sponsoring programs to encourage civil society and fight corruption. Then he was arrested at gunpoint. Sentenced to ten years in a Siberian penal colony on fraud and tax evasion charges in 2003, Khodorkovsky was put on trial again in 2010 and sentenced to fourteen years on new charges that contradicted the previous ones. While imprisoned, Khodorkovsky fought for the rights of his fellow prisoners, going on hunger strike four times. After he was pardoned in 2013, he vowed to continue fighting for prisoners’ rights, and this book is dedicated to that work. A moving portrait of the prisoners Khodorkovsky met, My Fellow Prisoners is an eye-opening account of Russia’s brutal prison system. “Vivid, humane and poignant” —Financial Times

Hedonic Wine Price Functions And Measurement Error written by Edward Oczkowski and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2004 with categories.

Accumulated theoretical and empirical evidence suggests that wine prices depend upon quality, reputation and objective characteristics. Unlike previous studies, we recognize that quality and reputation are latent constructs and therefore employ factor analysis and 2SLS techniques to consistently estimate hedonic prices in the presence of attributes measured with error. The application to Australian premium wines points to significant reputation effects but insignificant quality effects. It is also illustrated that inappropriately using standard OLS procedures can seriously distort the statistical significance of attributes; the implicit marginal attribute prices; and the predictions of 'average' prices for a given set of characteristics.

Critical Design In Context written by Matt Malpass and has been published by Bloomsbury Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-02-23 with Design categories.

Critical Design is becoming an increasingly influential discipline, affecting policy and practice in a range of fields. Matt Malpass's book is the first to introduce critical design as a field, providing a history of the discipline, outlining its key influences, theories and approaches, and explaining how critical design can work in practice through a range of contemporary examples. Critical Design moves away from traditional approaches that limit design's role to the production of profitable objects, focusing instead on a practice that is interrogative, discursive and experimental. Using a wide range of examples from contemporary practice, and drawing on interviews with key practitioners, Matt Malpass provides an introduction to critical design practice and a manifesto for how a radical and unorthodox practice might provide design answers in an age of austerity and ecological crisis.
