Giunto nel posto indicato, viene accolto da Doremi, la figlia quattordicenne di Simona che, con la sua travolgente parlantina, riesce a tirarlo su di morale. Entrando in breve tempo in sintonia con la ragazza, Angelo viene a sapere che, sette mesi prima, anche la madre ha subito una sorte simile alla sua, dato che il marito, di punto in bianco, l’ha abbandonata per una donna molto più giovane. In lui nasce la voglia di confrontarsi con quella che percepisce come una compagna di sventura ma, più che un incontro, il loro si rivelerà uno scontro davvero particolare, che li scaraventerà in una storia imprevedibile e intrigata, influenzata da un ciondolo speciale piuttosto invadente.
