Synchronous motors are indubitably the most effective device to drive industrial production systems and robots with precision and rapidity. Their control law is thus critical for combining at the same time high productivity to reduced energy consummation. As far as possible, the control algorithms must exploit the properties of these actuators. Therefore, this work draws on well adapted models resulting from the Park’s transformation, for both the most traditional machines with sinusoidal field distribution and for machines with non-sinusoidal field distribution which are more and more used in industry. La connaissance du comportement transitoire de la machine asynchrone est souvent nécessaire pour déterminer la performance globale de l'ensemble du système, auquel la machine appartient. L'approche proposée dans ce livre consiste à introduire deux phénomènes magnétiques à savoir: la saturation et les pertes fer. Après avoir analysé le comportement dynamique de la machine, différentes lois de commande vectorielle ont été étudiées. Elles ont pour objectif d'éliminer les couplages électriques apparaissant dans le système provoqués par la saturation et les pertes fer et d'obtenir de meilleures performances. L'élimination du capteur mécanique dans une commande vectorielle a été analysée. Un modèle de type MRAS pour l'estimation de la vitesse a été développé de telle sorte que la saturation et les pertes fer soient compensées particulièrement en fonctionnement en mode défluxé. Ensuite, cet estimateur est substitué par un autre insensible aux variations paramétriques et basé sur l'intelligence artificielle. L'implantation de ces méthodes et la validité des modèles ont été testées sur un dispositif expérimental, muni d'une carte de commande dSPACE de type DS1104.
