English summary: The starting point of this volume is the question of the Biblical foundation of the prayer of supplication. In the Bible, it is primarily in the Psalms that people articulate questions concerning their lives before God. So where better to start the search for clues as to the issue of the language of prayer than in the Psalter? In classical exegeses, the supplications made in the Psalter are often regarded as formulaic elements of a certain genre, the content of which is of lesser importance than the function. But does such an interpretation do justice to the language of the Psalter? To pursue this question, Psalm 6 is examined as a paradigmatic prayer of supplication. The study focuses on the one hand on its language and poetic form, and on the other on its content on a verse-by-verse basis. The analysis and interpretation of this song of lament, which is replete with entreaties, is the primary focus of this study. The second is an examination of how the elements of supplication of this Psalm are used throughout the Psalter. German text. German description: Ausgangspunkt dieser Arbeit ist die Frage nach biblischen Grundlagen des Bittgebets und nach einer biblisch verant-worteten Sprache des Gebets. In der Bibel bringt der Mensch vor allem in den Psalmen sein Leben vor Gott zur Sprache. Was liegt also naher, als Hinweise zur Frage nach der Sprache des Gebets im Psalter zu suchen? Die Bitten des betenden Ichs im Psalter werden in der klassi- schen Psalmenexegese oft als formelhafte Elemente einer bestimmten Gattung angesehen, deren Inhalt hinter ihrer Gattungsfunktion zurucktritt. Aber wird eine solche Einschat- zung der Sprache des Psalters gerecht? Um dieser Frage nachzugehen, wird Psalm 6 als paradigma-tisches Bittgebet untersucht. Dabei liegt der Fokus einerseits auf seiner Sprache und poetischen Gestalt, andererseits wird er in der Einzelversauslegung inhaltlich untersucht. Die Analyse und Auslegung dieses stark von Bitten gepragten Klagelieds eines Einzelnen bildet den ersten Schwerpunkt dieser Studie. Der zweite ist die Untersuchung der Bitt-Elemente dieses Psalms in ihrer Verwendung im gesamten Psalmenbuch.

English summary: At least since the humanist period Christian exegetes have always returned to the Greek version of the Septuagint Bible whenever the Hebrew version proved itself to be either challenging or even cryptic. Over the past 30 years, text-critical research of the bible has increasingly avoided this practice. Instead the text of the Septuagint is now viewed in its broad diversity and evolution as a witness to the textual history of the Old Testament deserving of separate examination. The articles by Eberhard Bons collected in this volume address this issue. Using selected examples, especially from the Psalms and the books of the prophets, it is shown that translators on the one hand tried to preserve the meaning of the Hebrew original, while on the other setting new priorities. German description: Spatestens seit der Zeit des Humanismus griffen christliche Bibelausleger immer wieder auf den griechischen Bibeltext der Septuaginta zuruck, wenn der hebraische sich als schwierig oder gar ratselhaft erwies. In den letzten 30 Jahren ist die textkritische Forschung am Bibeltext mehr und mehr von diesem Verfahren abgeruckt. Der Text der Septuaginta wird vielmehr in seiner ganzen Vielfalt und Entwicklung als ein Zeuge der Textgeschichte des Alten Testaments angesehen, der eine eigene Betrachtung verdient. Die im vorliegenden Band gesammelten Artikel von Eberhard Bons greifen diese Fragestellung auf. Anhand ausgewahlter Beispiele vor allem aus den Psalmen sowie den Prophetenbuchern wird herausgearbeitet, dass die Ubersetzer den Sinn ihrer hebraischen Ausgangstexte einerseits zu bewahren versuchten, andererseits aber auch neue inhaltliche Akzente setzten.
