Cette thèse tente de définir les facteurs qui favorisent une intégration d'une dimension interculturelle dans un contexte exolingue, où l'apprenant jordanien serait face à des valeurs et normes différentes des siennes. Notre objectif sera de montrer comment faire acquérir une compétence interculturelle chez le public « cible » dans l'objectif de porter un regard allo centré et relatif vis-à-vis de l'autre. Atteindre cet objectif se réalise par une intégration d'une pédagogie interculturelle grâce à laquelle l'on pourrait préparer l'apprenant pour toute rencontre en temps réel. Il s'agit d'une simulation à l'issue de laquelle une vision ethno centrée serait abandonnée en faveur d'une autre allo centrée qui réduirait la distance sociale entre soi et l'autre. Dès lors, la pédagogie interculturelle instaure une dynamique entre les deux interactants. Elle faciliterait la connaissance de l'autre, dans de vraies situations de communication, authentiques et mouvantes. De nos jours, Internet et les nouvelles technologies sont des facteurs importants dans notre vécu quotidien. Désormais, le cyberespace et la virtualité donnent accès à des informations culturelles/civilisationnelles vraies et authentiques presque inépuisables, facilitant a priori les rencontres interculturelles entre des individus issus des contextes spatio-temporels différents. Les observations ou études des relations on-line ont donné naissance à la notion de la cyberanthropologie qui nous semble comme une extension d'une anthropologie dite classique qui se voit limitée à une étude de soi et de l'autre.

In the context of cultural and economic globalization, intercultural communication is of central importance for the study of social and educational processes and practices. This volume contains contributions on conceptual issues as well as case studies on intercultural communication and education in Finland. Some of the contributions were first presented at the conference «Enhancing the Visibility and Collaboration of Researchers in Intercultural Communication and Education in Finland» which took place at the University of Turku, Finland, in October 2004. The other collected articles offer various contrasting perspectives on issues related to interculturality. Dans le contexte de la mondialisation culturelle et économique, la recherche en communication interculturelle est d'une importance capitale pour l'étude des pratiques et des processus sociaux et éducatifs. Les contributions de ce volume relèvent tant du traitement de problèmes conceptuels que de l'étude de cas, réunies autour du thème de la communication et de l'éducation interculturelles en Finlande. Certaines d'entre elles ont été présentées lors de la conférence intitulée « Visibilité et collaboration des chercheurs en communication et en éducation interculturelles en Finlande », qui s'est déroulée en octobre 2004 à l'Université de Turku.
