Some theoreticians contemplate and formulate the physics of tachyons, which are hypothetical particles, that would always travel faster than light but which could never slow down to the speed of light just as they anticipate sublight speed massive particles never being able to achieve light speed. So my theoretical work on the physics and kinematics of light-speed massive systems sets me apart from general trends in the theoretical field of relativistic astronautics. This book is a continuation of how and why we may be able to, at some future time, travel at the speed of light.

Gulliver has never travelled outside Devon. He only knows his antique emporium, filled with dusty old grandfather clocks, brass telescopes and antique globes from the 17th century among other things. Dreaming of maps that lead to national treasures, he longs to go on an adventure. Then one day, in an attempt to save Beagle, his pet Labrador, Gulliver finds himself swept away into the sea. On waking up, he discovers he has fallen back in time, into the miniature world of one of his antique globes. Suddenly, his life is turned upside down and he is mixed up in a land where giant ships in bottles are scattered across the sea and land, nothing makes sense and time no longer exists. On a quest to find the Last Book Shop in the World, his only hope of returning home, Gulliver meets a cast of colourful and charismatic characters including Old Father Time, Hans Christian Andersen, Queen Elizabeth I and Sir Francis Drake and his Golden Hinde. But will he ever find this elusive shop, and does he in fact want to go back to his old life? The (Phantasmagorical) Astrarium Compendium is a fantastical tale set in the parallel world of Old Devon. Combining poetic prose with humour, action and a good helping of nonsense, Mark Roland Langdale’s new novel will appeal to fans of science fiction and fantasy stories like Doctor Who and Alice in Wonderland.

This ebook contains adult material and sexual situations and is not suitable for minors. THIS IS NOT an invite to erotica or porn. It’s just a warning to parents to keep grown-up matters at grown-up levels away from children. I know you are busy—we’re all busy! Consequently for your convenience this is a shorter version of “Star Invasions” split into two halves at a cost savings, Compendium-1, and Compendium-2. Many worlds have mysteries about their origins, this world is no different. In the beginning a crash destroys the alien crew’s spaceship of 675—the mere 50 that survive must learn to adapt to primitive levels or perish on this strange forsaken planet. The leader that emerges develops a rational, less emotional demeanor that must lead his marooned people under life-threatening circumstances. The obvious genre to put "Star Invasions" in would be Sci-Fi; yet, "Star Invasions" is so much more. It’s...“A cunningly crafted plot with characters that leap right off the page as fully formed personalities.” Even it's: "An edgy, mysterious Sci-Fi adventure with non-stop action..." —DOES NOT do it justice... The actual story narrative crosses into many genres, including Political Fiction, Historical Fiction, Romance, Suspense, Mystery, & others; that might morph into a trilogy. “Books that try to transcend boundaries and genres are ambitious but generally a bit of a let down, and in my experience a good synopsis rarely lives up to the expectation. However Star Invasions proved to be everything I hoped it would be and more.” Star Invasions deals with five essential fledgling nations and potentially two hundred years of their history as depicted by individual characters with parallels to a certain planet—except for a nation of aliens, including a reversal of a famous Civil War. “Star Invasions” inspired one anonymous reader to evaluate this new literary work in this fashion: “Mysterious, captivating and suspenseful. I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. Wonderful and magical story!” A series of preliminary geo-political map outlines of this world are uploaded at the Page Star Invasions Maps on Facebook; organized into a photo album, along with book cover pics, and planet landscape vistas.

Engineering Compendium On Radiation Shielding written by International Atomic Energy Agency and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-06-29 with Science categories.

The need has arisen for a comprehensive handbook for engineers faced with problems of radiation shielding design. Although there are several excellent books on shielding, they either do not give enough consideration to the many practical design problems, or are limited to special aspects of the subject. Recognizing the universal need, the International Atomic Energy Agency decided to sponsor the publication ofthe present Engineering Compendium on Radiation Shield ing. At the first editorial discussions it was agreed that, if such a book were to be undertaken, it would be appropriate not only to create a useful design tool for the practising engineer but also to include well-referenced basic data for the research worker. Although trying to keep the book down to a reasonable size, the editors have aimed at a complete presentation of the subject, covering and linking both the tech nology and the science of shielding. Efforts to make terms and definitions consistent throughout have been only partially successful, owing to the continuing development of new ideas. However, inconsisten cies that could not be eliminated are identified whenever possible.
