Inhaltsangabe:Abstract: This study gives an overview about the Business Informatics discipline in Australia with a strong focus on Business Informatics aspects at Australian universities. Therefore the different terms Business Informatics and Information Systems (IS) are defined first in chapter 2. The approach taken to exploring Business Informatics at Australian universities was to conduct intensive interviews with eleven Australian university IS academics within the following states and territories of the country: Queensland, New South Wales, The Australian National Capital and Victoria. Questions were asked relating to the specific universitiy, the educational Business Informatics courses on offer, the organisational structure and cultural aspects within the Business Informatics discipline. The results of the interviews are then supported by a strong web and literature review and are shown summarized in chapter 3. Additional information was obtained by the 13th Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS) from 4th to 6th of December 2002 at the Victoria University Building in Melbourne. The conference gave an insight into topics as Online Learning, the IS discipline at universities and Approaches for Problem-Based Learning in Information Systems. These conference papers are summarized presented in chapter 4. This detailed overview of IS in Australian universities can then be compared to the Business Informatics discipline in German universities. Several aspects are considered for this in chapter 5 like the educational offers within this discipline area, the organisational structure of Business Informatics/IS within universities and cultural aspects in dependence to the structure of the interview guideline. Differences and similarities within the Business Informatics/IS discipline in higher education between Germany and Australia are explored, which is the aim of this study. Additional recommendations from the author should be seen as a thought-provoking-impulse and support further development in higher education. Introduction To Intelligent Construction Technology Of Transportation Infrastructure written by Guanghui Xu and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-09-09 with Technology & Engineering categories.

This book expounds on the related technologies of intelligent transportation infrastructure construction. Based on the essential characteristics of intelligent construction, "perception, analysis, decision-making, and execution," the basic structure of intelligent construction technology (ICT) is established. With the integration of engineering construction technologies, the analyses of the essence of intelligent algorithms and the feasibility of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are provided. The book introduces the essential characteristics of Big Data and the Internet of Things and their relationship with engineering construction. On this basis, the feasibility and implementation plan of intelligent technology applications in design, construction, and maintenance are analyzed and demonstrated with engineering examples. The book also combines ICT with intelligent construction talent training, the professional knowledge required for intelligent construction, and the theoretical basis to provide the methods for mastering new technologies. This book can be used by technical personnel in related fields such as highways, railways, airports, and urban road construction to understand and master innovative, intelligent construction technologies. It can also be a reference book for ICT-related college courses.

Service computing is a cross-disciplinary field that covers science and technology, and represents a promising direction for distributed computing and software development methodologies. It aims to bridge the gap between business services and IT services by supporting the whole lifecycle of services innovation. Over the last ten years applications in industry and academic research have produced considerable progress and success Service Computing: Concept, Method and Technology presents the concept of service computing and a proposed reference architecture for service computing research before proceeding to introduce two underlying technologies: Web services and service-oriented architecture. It also presents the authors' latest research findings on hot topics such as service discovery, recommendation, composition, verification, service trust, dynamic configuration and big data service. Some new models and methods are proposed including three service discovery methods based on semantics and skyline technologies, two service recommendation methods using graph mining and QoS prediction, two service composition methods with graph planning and one service verification method using p calculus and so on. Moreover, this book introduces JTang, an underlying platform supporting service computing, which is a product of the authors' last ten years of research and development. - Systematically reviews all the research on service computing - Introduces state-of-art research works on service computing and provides a road map for future directions - Bridges the gap between service computing theory and practice - Provides guidance for both industry and academia
