Biotechnology is a highly multidisciplinary subject and has got its foundation in many fields including biology, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, chemistry and chemical and processing engineering. There is an increasing need to train manpower in animal biotechnology. Even though many colleges are offering courses in Biotechnology for the students, there is no single text book available covering all the aspects of animal biotechnology for the students. This book on Animal Biotechnology has been written to meet out the requirements of both undergraduate and postgraduate students on the subject of biotechnology. There are seventeen chapters in this book covering different aspects of animal biotechnology including enzyme technology, gene therapy, biotechnology in medicine, Intellectual Property Rights and biosafety in biotechnology.
