Confusion No More For The Spiritual Seeker written by Ramesh S. Balsekar Author and has been published by Duncan Baird Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-06-21 with Body, Mind & Spirit categories.

Spiritual seeking is usually about achieving enlightenment - but there is confusion about the true meaning of enlightenment. Spiritual seekers have come to have the idea that the enlightened or self-realized sage is a kind of perfect being, totally disciplined, entirely in control of his mind and body, removed from the daily realities of existence, to whom everyone looks for guidance and who will protect his disciples from all life's difficulties. Balsekar explains that nothing, could be further from the truth - but for many seekers this misconception is the source of complete confusion and serious suffering. Balsekar shows us how confusion can be banished by simple acceptance - accepting that whatever exists in the moment is precisely as it is supposed to be, according to the Cosmic Law that is forever beyond the conception of the human intellect. Self-realization is not about being separate from the world and other people, but being at one with everything. It means understanding that one's place in the fabric of all that exists in the moment has never been in one's control. And with this understanding comes true peace.

This is a total misconception. There is a vast area of confusion for spiritual seekers, part of which centres around two questions. What exactly is self-realization? What does it precisely mean? In the early eleventh century the Indian Buddhist master Atisha condensed essential points from the sutras and ordered them into the text Lamp of the Path. These were then expanded upon in the fourteenth century by the Tibetan Buddhist master Lama Tsongkhapa into the text The Great Exposition on the Gradual Path to Enlightenment (Lamrim Chenmo). Venerable Thubten Chodron taught on this text over several years at Dharma Friendship Foundation, and related these practical teachings to our daily lives. These ebooks are lightly-edited transcripts of those teachings. They have been organized and formatted by Lai Wee Chiang. This third volume contains teachings on: - True Suffering - The Origin of Suffering - How the Afflictions Keep Us in Cyclic Existence - The 12 Links of Dependent Arising - The Path to Liberation

Confusion written by Joseph L. Camp Jr. and has been published by Harvard University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-07-01 with Philosophy categories.

Everyone has mistaken one thing for another, such as a stranger for an acquaintance. A person who has mistaken two things, Joseph L. Camp argues, even on a massive scale, is still capable of logical thought. In order to make that idea precise, one needs a logic of confused thought that is blind to the distinction between the objects that have been confused. Confused thought and language cannot be characterized as true or false even though reasoning conducted in such language can be classified as valid or invalid. To the extent that philosophers have addressed this issue at all, they take it for granted that confusion is a kind of ambiguity. Camp rejects this notion; his fundamental claim is that confusion is not a mental state. To attribute confusion to someone is to take up a paternalistic stance in evaluating his reasoning. Camp proposes a novel characterization of confusion, and then demonstrates its fruitfulness with several applications in the history of philosophy and the history of science.
