The book provides an original approach in the research of structural analysis of free developed shear compressible turbulence at high Reynolds number on the base of direct numerical simulation (DNS) and instability evolution for ideal medium (integral conservation laws) with approximate mechanism of dissipation (FLUX dissipative monotone OC upwindOCO difference schemes) and does not use any explicit sub-grid approximation and semi-empirical models of turbulence. Convective mixing is considered as a principal part of conservation law.

The book provides an original approach in the research of structural analysis of free developed shear compressible turbulence at high Reynolds number on the base of direct numerical simulation (DNS) and instability evolution for ideal medium (integral conservation laws) with approximate mechanism of dissipation (FLUX dissipative monotone "upwind" difference schemes) and does not use any explicit sub-grid approximation and semi-empirical models of turbulence. Convective mixing is considered as a principal part of conservation law.Appropriate hydrodynamic instabilities (free developed shear turbulence) are investigated from unique point of view. It is based on the concept of large ordered structures with stochastic core of small scale developed turbulence ("turbulent spot"). Decay of "turbulent spot" are simulated by Monte Carlo method. Proposed approach is based on two hypotheses: statistical independence of the characteristic of large ordered structures (LOS) and small-scale turbulence (ST) "and" weak influence of molecular viscosity (or more generally, dissipative mechanism) on properties of large ordered structures. Two versions of instabilities, due to Rayleigh-Taylor and Richtmyer-Meshkov are studied detail by the three-dimensional calculations, extended to the large temporal intervals, up to turbulent stage and investigation turbulent mixing zone (TMZ).The book covers both the fundamental and practical aspects of turbulence and instability and summarizes the result of numerical experiments conducted over 30 years period with direct participation of the author. In the book are cited the opinions of the leading scientists in this area of research: Acad. A S Monin (Russia), Prof. Y Nakamura (Japan, Nagoya University) and Prof. F Harlow (USA, Los-Alamos).

This book is based on the lectures delivered at the 19th Canberra International Physics Summer School held at the Australian National University in Canberra (Australia) in January 2006.The problem of turbulence and coherent structures is of key importance in many fields of science and engineering. It is an area which is vigorously researched across a diverse range of disciplines such as theoretical physics, oceanography, atmospheric science, magnetically confined plasma, nonlinear optics, etc. Modern studies in turbulence and coherent structures are based on a variety of theoretical concepts, numerical simulation techniques and experimental methods, which cannot be reviewed effectively by a single expert. The main goal of these lecture notes is to introduce state-of-the-art turbulence research in a variety of approaches (theoretical, numerical simulations and experiments) and applications (fluids, plasmas, geophysics, nonlinear optical media) by several experts. A smooth introduction is presented to readers who are not familiar with the field, while reviewing the most recent advances in the area. This collection of lectures will provide a useful review for both postgraduate students and researchers new to the advancements in this field, as well as specialists seeking to expand their knowledge across different areas of turbulence research.

Turbulence And Self Organization written by Mikhail Ya Marov and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-01-16 with Science categories.

The book deals with the development of continual models of turbulent natural media. Such models serve as a ground for the statement and numerical evaluation of the key problems of the structure and evolution of the numerous astrophysical and geophysical objects. The processes of ordering (self-organization) in an originally chaotic turbulent medium are addressed and treated in detail with the use of irreversible thermodynamics and stochastic dynamics approaches which underlie the respective models. Different examples of ordering set up in the natural environment and outer space are brought and thoroughly discussed, the main focus being given to the protoplanetary discs formation and evolution.

Lasers And Synergetics written by Robert Graham and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Science categories.

Lasers and Synergetics, written to honour Hermann Haken on his 60th birthday, is concerned with the two main areas of research to which Prof. Haken has made fundamental contributions. In fact, the two areas are interrelated since the development of the interdisciplinary science synergetics has been closely connected with the emergence of laser theory. Synergetics deals with complex systems that possess the fundamental property of spontaneous selforganization of their macroscopic behaviour. The book summarizes basic ideas, important concepts and principles used to describe selforganizing systems from a unified viewpoint. Special attention is paid to lasers, nonlinear optics and to coherence phenomena in other physical, biological and sociological systems. Some surveys of historical developments are presented, but most space is devoted to the publication of recent results and the description of current research work.
