There's a reason everyone says "it's not what you know, it's who you know." If you're striving to reach ambitious goals, it's impossible without the right relationships. So how do you reverse-engineer relationships with the exact people you want to know? Through his podcast B2B Growth and his company Sweet Fish Media, James Carbary has pioneered a concept called content-based networking--a new approach to building your professional network. Instead of relying on chance encounters and random in-person events, content-based networking allows you to connect with anyone, at any time, and from anywhere in the world. In Content-Based Networking, you'll learn a proven three-part framework to consistently connect with potential customers, investors, referral partners, industry influencers, and anyone in between. Using this framework, you'll develop thought leadership in your industry, while simultaneously creating meaningful relationships with the exact people that can help you reach your goals and dreams.

Migrate to Intent-Based Networking–and improve network manageability, cost, agility, security, and simplicity With Intent-Based Networking (IBN), you can create networks that capture and automatically activate business intent, assure that your network responds properly, proactively detect and contain security threats, and remedy network issues before users even notice. Intent-Based Networking makes networks far more valuable, but few organizations have the luxury of building them from the ground up. In this book, leading expert Pieter-Jans Nefkens presents a unique four-phase approach to preparing and transforming campus network infrastructures, architectures, and organization–helping you gain maximum value from IBN with minimum disruption and cost. The author reviews the problems IBN is intended to solve, and illuminates its technical, business, and cultural implications. Drawing on his pioneering experience, he makes specific recommendations, identifies pitfalls, and shows how to overcome them. You’ll learn how to implement IBN with the Cisco Digital Network Architecture and DNA Center and walk through real-world use cases. In a practical appendix, Nefkens even offers detailed technical configurations to jumpstart your own transformation. Review classic campus network deployments and understand why they need to change Learn how Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNA) provides a solid foundation for state-of-the-art next generation network infrastructures Understand “intent” and how it can be applied to network infrastructure Explore tools for enabling, automating, and assuring Intent-Based Networking within campus networks Transform to Intent-Based Networking using a four-phased approach: Identify challenges; Prepare for Intent; Design and Deploy; and Enable Intent Anticipate how Intent-Based Networking will change your enterprise architecture, IT operations, and business

Introduction To Show Networking written by John Huntington and has been published by John Huntington this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-10-13 with Performing Arts categories.

Introduction to Show Networking covers the basics of how Ethernet networks provide a platform for entertainment control and audio/video media distribution for concerts, theatre productions, corporate and special events, cruise ship revues, wrestling shows, houses of worship, museum presentations, fountain spectaculars—any kind of show presented live for an audience. The book’s bottom-up approach was designed with show technicians in mind, starting with the basics and then moving up through cables, network switches, and layering, and on through Ethernet, and network components like TCP, UDP, IP and subnet masks, all with a practical focus. More advanced concepts are introduced, including broadcast storms and VLANs, along with show networking best practices. Closing out the book is a network design process demonstrated through practical, real-world examples for lighting, sound, video, scenic automation, and show control networks. An appendix covering binary and hexadecimal numbers is also included. This easy-reading book draws from Huntington’s Show Networks and Control Systems, the industry standard since 1994, but is completely re-focused, reorganized, and updated.

So-called Intent-Based Networking (IBN) is founded on well-known SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and represents one of the most important emerging network infrastructure opportunities. The IBN is the beginning of a new era in the history of networking, where the network itself translates business intentions into appropriate network configurations for all devices. This minimizes manual effort, provides an additional layer of network monitoring, and provides the ability to perform network analytics and take full advantage of machine learning. The centralized, software-defined solution provides process automation and proactive problem solving as well as centralized management of the network infrastructure. With software-based network management, many operations can be performed automatically using intelligent control algorithms (artificial intelligence and machine learning). As a result, network operation costs, application response times and energy consumption are reduced, network reliability and performance are improved, network security and flexibility are enhanced. This will be a benefit for existing networks as well as evolved LTE-based mobile networks, emerging Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud systems, and soon for the future 5G/6G networks. The future networks will reach a whole new level of self-awareness, self-configuration, self-optimization, self-recovery and self-protection. This volume consists of 28 chapters, based on recent research on IBN.The volume is a collection of the most important research for the future intent-based networking deployment provided by different groups of researchers from Ukraine, Germany, Slovak Republic, Switzerland, South Korea, China, Czech Republic, Poland, Brazil, Belarus and Israel. The authors of the chapters from this collection present in depth extended research results in their scientific fields. The presented contents are highly interesting while still being rather practically oriented and straightforward to understand. Herewith we would like to wish all our readers a lot of inspiration by studying of the volume!

As the Internet has grown, so have the challenges associated with delivering static, streaming, and dynamic content to end-users. This book is unique in that it addresses the topic of content networking exclusively and comprehensively, tracing the evolution from traditional web caching to today's open and vastly more flexible architecture. With this evolutionary approach, the authors emphasize the field's most persistent concepts, principles, and mechanisms--the core information that will help you understand why and how content delivery works today, and apply that knowledge in the future. Focuses on the principles that will give you a deep and timely understanding of content networking. Offers dozens of protocol-specific examples showing how real-life Content Networks are currently designed and implemented. Provides extensive consideration of Content Services, including both the Internet Content Adaptation Protocol (ICAP) and Open Pluggable Edge Services (OPES). Examines methods for supporting time-constrained media such as streaming audio and video and real-time media such as instant messages. Combines the vision and rigor of a prominent researcher with the practical experience of a seasoned development engineer to provide a unique combination of theoretical depth and practical application.

The workshop on an Infrastructure for Mobile and Wireless Systems was held in Scottsdale, Arizona on October 15, 2001 and was funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and sponsored by the Telecommunications and Information Technology Institute of the College of Engineering at Florida International U- versity (FIU), to establish a common infrastructure for the discipline of mobile and wireless networking, and to serve its rapidly emerging mobile and wireless community of researchers and practitioners. The workshop provides a single, cohesive, and high-quality forum for disseminating research and experience in this emerging ?eld. Of signi?cance is the integration of many diverse com- nities. The areas of mobile and wireless networking combine the best of both worlds, namely academia and industry. The objective of the workshop is to - ?ne and establish a common infrastructure of the discipline and to develop a consensus-based document that will provide a foundation for implementation, standardization, and further research. Workshop Program Chairs Dr. Birgitta K ̈ onig-Ries (Universit ̈at Karlsruhe), and Dr. Peter Scheuermann (Northwestern University) and Vice Program Chair Dr. S. A. M. Makki (Queensland University of Technology), assembled a truly - pressive program committee. Together with the program committee, they worked diligently to select papers and speakers that met the criteria of high quality and relevance to our various ?elds of interest. It takes time and e?ort to review a - per carefully, and every member of the program committee is to be commended for his/her contribution to the success of this workshop.
