Cooperating With Invisible Beings written by Daniel Perret and has been published by BoD - Books on Demand this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-10-19 with Science categories.

This book presents a collection of communications that author Daniel Perret has experienced with nature spirits and other spirit beings. They bring forward the insights, and intelligence of the different beings and show how precise and wide ranging their knowledge and wisdom is - some are recent conversations and some are already published in his previous books. In the coming times humanity can only evolve through respecting all sentient beings and cooperating with them. How can we develop a communication with the invisible realm that enables us to know who is 'on the phone'? In this helpful book Daniel presents many of his own expe-riences and tells us how he built up his communication with nature spirits and spirit beings. He shows how we can learn to ask questions and to distinguish valuable from non-valuable dialogues and partners. He sets out how we can distinguish between our projections and a real communication. The usefulness of any communication with invisible beings depends on how much we really know ourselves and speak from the depth of our heart, from our higher spiritual self? This requires a high degree of sincerity and allows us to distinguish valuable from non-valuable dialogues and partners.

Origins Of Altruism And Cooperation written by Robert W. Sussman and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011-08-02 with Science categories.

This book is about the evolution and nature of cooperation and altruism in social-living animals, focusing especially on non-human primates and on humans. Although cooperation and altruism are often thought of as ways to attenuate competition and aggression within groups, or are related to the action of “selfish genes”, there is increasing evidence that these behaviors are the result of biological mechanisms that have developed through natural selection in group-living species. This evidence leads to the conclusion that cooperative and altruistic behavior are not just by-products of competition but are rather the glue that underlies the ability for primates and humans to live in groups. The anthropological, primatological, paleontological, behavioral, neurobiological, and psychological evidence provided in this book gives a more optimistic view of human nature than the more popular, conventional view of humans being naturally and basically aggressive and warlike. Although competition and aggression are recognized as an important part of the non-human primate and human behavioral repertoire, the evidence from these fields indicates that cooperation and altruism may represent the more typical, “normal”, and healthy behavioral pattern. The book is intended both for the general reader and also for students at a variety of levels (graduate and undergraduate): it aims to provide a compact, accessible, and up-to-date account of the current scholarly advances and debates in this field of study, and it is designed to be used in teaching and in discussion groups. The book derived from a conference sponsored by N.S.F., the Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research, the Washington University Committee for Ethics and Human Values, and the Anthropedia Foundation for the study of well-being.

Religion Economy And Cooperation written by Ilkka Pyysiäinen and has been published by Walter de Gruyter this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010 with Philosophy categories.

This volume addresses the issue of religion and economy in the evolution of human cooperation. Both religious practices and economic behavior create and sustain intra-group cooperation by providing people with common goals and values. Even if individuals are selfish maximizers of utility, in the end everybody benefits from being part of a cooperative community, the market. The rules of the market are the invisible hand which turns selfishness into cooperation. In the same way, God beliefs constrain individual selfishness and ensure cooperation within the group.

The Philosophical And Theological Relevance Of Evolutionary Anthropology written by Martin Breul and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-03-24 with Religion categories.

This book explores the philosophical and theological significance of evolutionary anthropology and includes diverse approaches to the relationship between evolution, culture, and religion. Particular emphasis is placed on the work of Michael Tomasello, who contributes an opening chapter that tackles the role of religion in his natural history of human thinking and human morality. The first section of the book considers the philosophical foundations of evolutionary anthropology and shows that evolutionary anthropology is open to a multitude of philosophical analyses. The second part offers theological perspectives on the relationship between evolutionary and theological anthropology and between evolution and religion. The volume also reflects more broadly on the complex relationship between religion and science in the contexts of late-modern societies. It makes a significant contribution to the religion and science debate and offers performative evidence that an interdisciplinary discussion between theologians, philosophers, and natural scientists is feasible.

Putting people first has always been the basis of our success. We believe that if we take care of our employees, they will take care of our customers and the business will take care of itself. Even after the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York, where we went from an occupancy rate of 75 to 5% overnight – where our hotels were empty of guests but full of staff – putting people first was the our priority. Instead of suffering massive layoffs, we implemented education programs, maintained health benefits, and did everything we could to get through the crisis with minimal negative impact on our people. In a business like ours, and I believe in any other sector, we simply cannot be successful unless people are truly committed and happy in their work. It is our commitment to create an environment where the unique contributions of our people are valued. I believe the fact that Marriott is consistently considered an employer of choice is the result of these efforts. Promoting a “people first” culture starts with leadership. Leaders must model the way. They must act, interact and engage with the people they lead in a way that makes people feel seen, heard and valued. In The Mind of the Leader, Rasmus Hougaard and Jacqueline Carter provide a clear path to creating “people first” organizations. It requires leaders to be human first: to be mindful, selfless and compassionate, and in doing so, develop the qualities that enable engagement, fulfillment and meaning – which leads to greater business success. If we, as leaders, are attentive, we will know better what really matters to our people. We are more present, attentive and curious. It's not always easy, but I know the difference between being present with my people and when I'm not. I only have an impact when I am. If we, as leaders, are selfless, taking into account the bigger picture rather than our own selfish needs, we will model cultures of growth and learning. Bill Marriott, our executive chairman, even now in his eighties, always has his ear open. He is always seeking the perspective of others rather than blindly following his own beliefs and ideas. If we, as leaders, are compassionate, our people will know we are protected. As this book clearly describes, compassion is not soft and sentimental. It is concrete and practical. It's about doing the right thing, like putting a doctor on staff during the Depression. Again, if we truly care about our employees, they will truly care for our customers and the business will truly care for itself. In many ways, the principles in this book run counter to the number of businesses run. It inspires me and provides insights to further evolve our culture and put people first. And I believe that all leaders and other organizations will benefit greatly from its messages.

Nations are not trapped by their pasts, but events that happened hundreds or even thousands of years ago continue to exert huge influence on present-day politics. If we are to understand the politics that we now take for granted, we need to understand its origins. Francis Fukuyama examines the paths that different societies have taken to reach their current forms of political order. This book starts with the very beginning of mankind and comes right up to the eve of the French and American revolutions, spanning such diverse disciplines as economics, anthropology and geography. The Origins of Political Order is a magisterial study on the emergence of mankind as a political animal, by one of the most eminent political thinkers writing today.

Religion is one of the most powerful forces running through human history, and although often presented as a force for good, its impact is frequently violent and divisive. Suggests strategies for beginning to counter the divisive aspects of religion Discusses the role of religion and religious criticism in the contemporary world.
