Coordinated Multiuser Communications provides for the first time a unified treatment of multiuser detection and multiuser decoding in a single volume. Many communications systems, such as cellular mobile radio and wireless local area networks, are subject to multiple-access interference, caused by a multitude of users sharing a common transmission medium. The performance of receiver systems in such cases can be greatly improved by the application of joint detection and decoding methods. Multiuser detection and decoding not only improve system reliability and capacity, they also simplify the problem of resource allocation. Coordinated Multiuser Communications provides the reader with tools for the design and analysis of joint detection and joint decoding methods. These methods are developed within a unified framework of linear multiple-access channels, which includes code-division multiple-access, multiple antenna channels and orthogonal frequency division multiple access. Emphasis is placed on practical implementation aspects and modern iterative processing techniques for systems both with, and without integrated error control coding. Focusing on the theory and practice of unifying accessing and transmission aspects of communications, this book is a valuable reference for students, researchers and practicing engineers.

A comprehensive introduction to CDMA theory and application Code division multiple access (CDMA) communication is rapidly replacing time- and frequency-division methods as the cornerstone of wireless communication and mobile radio. Theory of Code Division Multiple Access Communication provides a lucid introduction and overview of CDMA concepts and methods for both the professional and the advanced student. Emphasizing the role CDMA has played in the development of wireless communication and cellular mobile radio systems, the author leads you through the basic concepts of mobile radio systems and considers the different principles of multiple access-time division, frequency division, and code division. He then analyzes three major CDMA systems-direct sequence (DS) CDMA systems, frequency hopped (FH) CDMA systems, and pulse position hopped (PPH) CDMA systems. Other topics covered include: * Spread spectrum (SS) technology * Forward error control coding * CDMA communication on fading channels * Pseudorandom signals * Information theory in relation to CDMA communication * CDMA cellular networks Complete with useful appendices providing analyses of the moments of CDMA system decision statistics, Theory of Code Division Multiple Access Communication is a ready reference for every engineer seeking an understanding of the history and concepts of this key communications technology.

Error Correcting Codes Finite Geometries And Cryptography written by Aiden A. Bruen and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-09-03 with Mathematics categories.

This interdisciplinary volume contains papers from both a conference and special session on Error-Control Codes, Information Theory and Applied Cryptography. The conference was held at the Fields Institute in Toronto, On, Canada from December 5-6, 2007, and the special session was held at the Canadian Mathematical Society's winter meeting in London, ON, Canada from December 8-10, 2007. The volume features cutting-edge theoretical results on the Reed-Muller and Reed-Solomon codes, classical linear codes, codes from nets and block designs, LDPC codes, perfect quantum and orthogonal codes, iterative decoding, magnetic storage and digital memory devices, and MIMO channels. There are new contributions on privacy reconciliation, resilient functions, cryptographic hash functions, and new work on quantum coins. Related original work in finite geometries concerns two-weight codes coming from partial spreads, (0, 1) matrices with forbidden configurations, Andre embeddings, and representations of projective spaces in affine planes. Great care has been taken to ensure that high expository standards are met by the papers in this volume. Accordingly, the papers are written in a user-friendly format. The hope is that this volume will be of interst and of benefit both to the experienced and to newcomers alike.

Group Cell Architecture For Cooperative Communications written by Xiaofeng Tao and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-07-01 with Technology & Engineering categories.

Driven by the increasing demand for capacity and Quality of Service in wireless cellular networks and motivated by the distributed antenna system, the authors proposed a cooperative communication architecture—Group Cell architecture, which was initially brought forward in 2001. Years later, Coordinated Multiple-Point Transmission and Reception (CoMP) for LTE-Advanced was put forward in April 2008, as a tool to improve the coverage of cells having high data rates, the cell-edge throughput and/or to increase system throughput. This book mainly focuses on the Group Cell architecture with multi-cell generalized coordination, Contrast Analysis between Group Cell architecture and CoMP, Capacity Analysis, Slide Handover Strategy, Power Allocation schemes of Group Cell architecture to mitigate the inter-cell interference and maximize system capacity and the trial network implementation and performance evaluations of Group Cell architecture.
