Arrivati fin qui, si è di fronte ad un compito già abbastanza arduo, ma come se ciò non bastasse, accade purtroppo che alla maggior parte delle persone ha imparato a scrivere nella maniera sbagliata. Il fatto è che, a scuola, così come in qualsiasi ambiente lavorativo, ciò che ci è stato insegnato è di scrivere essenzialmente elencando i fatti. Tutto si basa sul presupposto che, data una serie di vantaggi logicamente a vantaggio del compratore, allora lui o lei non avrà altra scelta se non completare l'acquisto. Il ragionamento parte proprio dall'idea che una persona, date le informazioni logiche per ottenere un vantaggio, sarà costretta dalla propria razionalità a volerlo. Sembrerebbe anche un ragionamento corretto ma, non funziona proprio così. Questo ragionamento sarebbe sicuramente interessante e funzionale se noi agissimo come dei robot, ma non è così. Siamo delle macchine complesse e la natura, insieme alla nostra ragione, ci ha donato, molto tempo addietro, le emozioni. Le emozioni sono il preciso motivo per cui qualcuno potrebbe scegliere di mollare un lavoro fisso per partire in viaggio per il mondo senza alcuna garanzia. Vi sembra un'idea eccitante, giusto? Eppure, da un punto di vista prettamente razionale, non è vantaggioso! Così tanti rischi! Alcuni vorrebbero farlo, altri non se lo sognerebbero nemmeno. Io potrei dimostrarti che questo libro contiene più informazioni rispetto ad un altro, ma non sarebbe probabilmente abbastanza per convincerti.
