The Dictatorship Of Capital written by Michael Tubbs and has been published by Boolarong Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-11-22 with Business & Economics categories.

If you are one of the many people today looking for explanations and possible solutions to the ongoing Global Financial Crisis and Global Ecological Crisis, then this book should be on your reading list. Michael Tubbs spent eighteen years as a barrister representing smaller corporations against some of the giant corporations of capital which now dominate the ‘world global economy’. Tubbs was in practice during the collapse of the ‘top down’ Soviet system, and its replacement by the equally ‘top down’ corporatist system. Tubbs’ experience forced him to draw the unavoidable conclusion that: ‘EVERY CORPORATION OF CAPITAL IS POTENTIALLY, IN THEORY AND FACT, A CONSPIRACY AGAINST EVERYTHING ELSE IN SOCIETY EXCEPT ITSELF’. He believes it is time that people understood the role that corporatism has played in bringing the world to its economic and environmental knees. He shows how the corporations of capital have gained so much power in society, to the detriment of democracy throughout the world. While private corporations have exploited our labour and our natural resources for their own greed, our governments have failed in their duty of care. Corporations continue to hide away their profits in tax havens, while ordinary citizens bear the brunt of the GFC and GEC, and no one accepts or apportions blame. Tubbs argues it is time to take action — to lift the corporate veil of secrecy and privilege that protects corporations of capital, and to democratise them for the benefit of all.

The Start-Up Entrepreneur: An Emerging Market Experience is a book about the adventures of a man setting up and running small businesses in Nigeria. It is mostly a personal story that teaches about precepts that are essential for starting and running small businesses in Nigeria as an example of an emerging market. It shares ideas on coming to a decision about transiting from paid employment to entrepreneurship, the timing of such decision, and the business to go into. It discusses the challenges of raising money for new businesses and where to look for financing. It advises on the kind of financing and the kind of people to avoid at the nascent stage of the business. The book discusses the peculiar challenges of running a business in Nigeria. It gives hints on how to handle predatory and corrupt tax officials and regulatory agencies that are inept and how to operate in a regime with very unstable government policies. It advises on how to build a business for success in a chaotic environment and, should failure become inevitable, how to extract maximum value for the owners of the business. The book draws on the personal experience of the author but also advises on business principles that apply and how to deftly combine street wisdom and textbook precepts. It ends with an advice to the government on what it can do to enable small businesses. Every aspiring entrepreneur and those struggling with the management of small businesses will benefit from this book.

Elisabeth Wynhausen was at her desk writing a story about people being sacked when she was sacked herself. The Short Goodbye is the untold story of a nation forever changed by the global financial crisis and the people whose lives have been glossed over in the grand narratives of politicians and commentators. With verve and wit, she dissects the myth that Australia dodged a financial bullet by documenting the lives of those discarded on an economic minefield, from bankers to factory workers, and warns that without reform Australia could suffer a more terrible social and economic calamity from the next global rout.

Economics Capitalism And Corporations written by Wm. Dennis Huber and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-12-11 with Business & Economics categories.

This book is a continuation of Corporate Law and the Theory of the Firm: Reconstructing Corporations, Shareholders, Directors, Owners, and Investors. The author extends his analysis of contract law, property law, agency law, trust law, and corporate statutory law and applies that analysis to defy conventional concepts and theories in economics, finance, investment, and accounting and expose the artificial boundaries established by decades of research founded on indefensible assumptions and fallacious conclusions. Using the Humpty Dumpty principle, where words mean what the authors want them to mean, economists have created "strange new worlds" where contract law, property law, agency law, and corporate statutory law no longer apply. The author dismantles the theory of the firm by proving the theory of the firm wilfully and intentionally ignores fundamental contract law, property law, agency law, and corporate statutory law. Contrary to the theory of the firm, shareholders do not own corporations, directors are not agents of shareholders, and shareholders are not investors in corporations. The author proves that by property law and corporate law, capital is not privately owned by capitalists but by corporations. Entire economic and social systems have been constructed that have no basis in law. With the advent of publicly traded corporations, the capital is there, but both capitalists and capitalism have been rendered extinct. This book will appeal to researchers and graduate and upper-level undergraduate students in economics, finance, accounting, law, and sociology, as well as legal scholars, attorneys and accountants.
