TThis book is for people who stutter or experience other speaking difficulties and for parents of children with underdeveloped speaking skills. Correcting Speech of People Who Stutter is written for individuals who are tired of stuttering, stammering, or stumbling in speech and being afraid to speak in public. A Guide For Etalon Speech Educators can serve as a step-by-step training tool for a variety of specialists, therapists and etalon speech trainers who want to learn how to quickly and 100% effectively help any stutterer. The Etalon unblocking of a human speech instrument and consciousness is a scientific revolution in the field of education. It has been developed by an independent Russian scientist, Professor R. A. Snezhko in 1998. Anna Deeter, M.A., an experienced speech therapist, has completed the entire course of professional training with Mr. Snezhko and become licensed to teach the Etalon program in the English language in 2011. Both Etalon Speech Educators have demonstrated 100% successful results with over 10,000 students who were able to solve their life-long stuttering problem in individual 3-day Etalon Unblocking courses. This breakthrough book is meant to end all the misconceptions regarding this so-called "speech fluency disorder" that have failed millions of people worldwide. Instead of viewing stuttering as a mysterious "illness" that needs to be cured or accepted, the Etalon science and this book view stuttering for what it really is - a simple underdevelopment, or immaturity of the muscular speaking skills and can be corrected in a very short time through education. Readers will realize the ineffectiveness and the harm of any medical treatment, speech device, or a long-term speech training for dealing with any form of stuttering. This book takes a cutting-edge scientific approach to effectively end stuttering in only 3 days by enlightening students about the Natural Speech Norms and training them to follow these norms precisely in order to instantly normalize the functioning of their body, attention, thinking and memory. A Guide.... brings complete clarity to the stuttering phenomenon, explains what causes it, why people stutter, and what they need to do in order to eradicate it entirely. The purpose of this book is to put an end to the chaos, confusion and inevitable deception in the field of helping millions who stutter. This textbook is intended to bring complete clarity to the understanding of the stuttering phenomenon and the way of eradicating it completely in just three calendar days. You will learn that stuttering is caused by a person's block-stupor, which instantly discontinues any action of his/her mind, attention, body, and speech. People always stutter when they are inaccurate in their sensory perception, the natural algorithm or adherence to the scope of the standard speaking action. Each time a person deviates from the Natural Speaking Norms, he/she inevitably produces abnormal speech. Through learning in depth this breakthrough scientific information, you will discover how to effectively eliminate any form of stuttering in yourself or a student.

Malcolm Fraser knew from personal experience what the person who stutters is up against. His introduction to stuttering corrective procedures first came at the age of fifteen under the direction of Frederick Martin, M.D., who at that time was Superintendent of Speech Correction for the New York City schools. A few years later, he worked with J. Stanley Smith, L.L.D., a stutterer and philanthropist, who, for altruistic reasons, founded the Kingsley Clubs in Philadelphia and New York that were named after the English author, Charles Kingsley, who also stuttered. The Kingsley Clubs were small groups of adult stutterers who met one night a week to try out treatment ideas then in effect. In fact, they were actually practicing group therapy as they talked about their experiences and exchanged ideas. This exchange gave each of the members a better understanding of the problem. The founder often led the discussions at both clubs. In 1928 Malcolm Fraser joined his older brother Carlyle who founded the NAPA-Genuine Parts Company that year in Atlanta, Georgia. He became an important leader in the company and was particularly outstanding in training others for leadership roles. In 1947, with a successful career under way, he founded the Stuttering Foundation of America. In subsequent years, he added generously to the endowment so that at the present time, endowment income covers over fifty percent of the operating budget. In 1984, Malcolm Fraser received the fourth annual National Council on Communicative Disorders' Distinguished Service Award. The NCCD, a council of 32 national organizations, recognized the Foundation's efforts in "adding to stutterers', parents', clinicians', and the public's awareness and ability to deal constructively with stuttering." In 1889, the Russian Professor of Psychiatry, I.A. Sikorski presented his hypothesis about the existence of a some kind of a neurological illness called stuttering in his monograph "About Stuttering". This unsubstantiated assumption was later translated into German, discussed at international conferences, served as a textbook in Germany, and was further adopted by America in the twentieth century. Throughout the world today, the existing paradigm regarding any speech fluency disorder (stuttering, stammering, cluttering) is not only that it is neurological and genetic, but also that it is incurable. We're told that even if we were to stop stuttering, the "disease" would continue and we would be stutterers forever. It is that belief - based on a falsehood - that is primarily responsible for the stagnation that has existed for the past 100+ years in the treatment of stuttering. It is that paradigm that has given birth to this terrible untrue slogan "Once a stutterer is always a stutterer".It is my intention to change that paradigm. I've written this book to share with you the freedom-giving information that is enabling people who stutter to fix their own speech and life.Stuttering is NOT an illness or a medical condition. You are NOT a stutterer and you are NOT incurably ill. You have merely been deceived that you didn't have the power to develop your own speech and that you needed to rely on the power of others. When you discover, claim and use your own power, your stuttering will cease completely and forever. That is exactly what happened to Hussein Al-hassan - the hero of this book, my former student and the Etalon graduate from Finland. For 20 years of his life, he battled with stuttering. He wanted to stop it, but he couldn't. He didn't know how. He was placed to a special school for mentally retarded children, went to several speech therapists, endlessly googled tips and programs for stuttering cure, inquired about drugs for stutterers from all kind of doctors and stuttering "experts". All he could hear back from them was the same old story: "Stuttering is an incurable neurological, genetic disorder with a mysterious cause" and that he will remain a stutterer for the rest of his life. Fortunately, he did not believe such lie!On his lonely climb to his success, he found the 100% reliable Etalon Speech Gymnastics solution and was able to overcome all obstacles on his way to take this life-changing education course. With no job, no money, no family support and no English language speaking skills, this Arabic and Finnish-speaking 18-yo stutterer appeared not having even a slightest chance to take part in the 3-day Etalon program to eliminate his severe stuttering ever. But he had a burning desire and a strong will to become an adequate speaker. These personal traits in combination with the revolutionary Etalon science lead him to the destination of his stutter-free life! Hussein has reached his stutter-free destination that he desired so much and worked so diligently and insistently for. He has become the master of his own life. It's your turn now. You also can claim your power to learn the naturally simple, easy to perform speech etalons and become stutter-free in only 3 days of the individual Etalon Speech Gymnastics self-training under the guidance of an Etalon Speech Teacher. Just like Hussein, over 3,000 Etalon Program graduates, were also labeled as hopeless lifetime stutterers prior to gaining their Etalon freedom. They had been to many different stuttering treatment centers and programs and struggled in vain for years. But they freed themselves of their own irrational speech behavior. You or your loved one can too.I hope you, my dear reader, will enjoy this inspirational story as much as I did while witnessing it first hand:-)

Because of his background in singing and the immense knowledge that Rabbi Zion Yakar possesses concerning voice production, breath control, the anatomy and physiology of speech, and in-depth spiritual training, he was called upon to help young stutterers overcome their handicap. He found that when he combined his unconventional and unique method of "diversionary thinking" with his knowledge of human voice-production, his spiritual faith in divine intervention, and psychosomatic instruction in self-renewal, the results were overwhelmingly successful. This book is a culmination of many years of research and positive experiences in working with stutterers. He shares his time-tested and truly unconventional philosophies and practical approaches with stutterers in this book.

The definitive treatment textbook in psychiatry, this fifth edition of Gabbard's Treatments of Psychiatric Disorders has been thoroughly restructured to reflect the new DSM-5® categories, preserving its value as a state-of-the-art resource and increasing its utility in the field. The editors have produced a volume that is both comprehensive and concise, meeting the needs of clinicians who prefer a single, user-friendly volume. In the service of brevity, the book focuses on treatment over diagnostic considerations, and addresses both empirically-validated treatments and accumulated clinical wisdom where research is lacking. Noteworthy features include the following: Content is organized according to DSM-5® categories to make for rapid retrieval of relevant treatment information for the busy clinician. Outcome studies and expert opinion are presented in an accessible way to help the clinician know what treatment to use for which disorder, and how to tailor the treatment to the patient. Content is restricted to the major psychiatric conditions seen in clinical practice while leaving out less common conditions and those that have limited outcome research related to the disorder, resulting in a more streamlined and affordable text. Chapters are meticulously referenced and include dozens of tables, figures, and other illustrative features that enhance comprehension and recall. An authoritative resource for psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurses, and an outstanding reference for students in the mental health professions, Gabbard's Treatments of Psychiatric Disorders, Fifth Edition, will prove indispensable to clinicians seeking to provide excellent care while transitioning to a DSM-5® world.
