Reflexiones cortas para cada día del año. Si de acuerdo con lo que nos dice el diccionario entendemos por "novedad" la acción de causar extrañeza al aportar algo no esperado, ciertamente, este libro es una NOVEDAD en todos los aspectos, de la primera a la última página, ya que al examinarlo, va uno de sorpresa en sorpresa. Como bien afirma con respecto al mismo el Dr. Alfonso Ropero, director editorial de CLIE: "cada página es una agradable y retadora sorpresa sobre una multitud de temas que impresionan nuestras mentes, pero cuyo contenido no siempre tenemos tiempo de valorar, y que el autor trata desde la fe y la razón que se alimentan de la Escritura: creer para comprender, comprender y creer". La primera sorpresa la encontramos ya en el título: "CREER Y COMPRENDER: 365 reflexiones para un cristianismo integral". El epígrafe "CREER Y COMPRENDER" nos inclina a pensar que se trata de una obra de apologética, pero el subtítulo, nos invita a identificarlo más bien como un devocional. ¿Cuál de las dos cosas? ¡Ambas, y muchas más! Porque las 365 reflexiones que se nos ofrecen en estas páginas, son un verdadero manjar espiritual con el que vigorizar nuestras almas frente a las inquietudes del mundo que nos rodea; un poderoso ansiolítico con el que aliviarnos de los vértigos de la vida moderna; una eficaz vacuna con la que proteger nuestra mente de las numerosas dudas que la acosan; y una fuente cristalina de inspiración celestial con la que elevar nuestro espíritu al plano superior. Estamos, pues, ante un texto académico que convive entrelazado con un devocional bajo una misma tapa.
