Como tantas noches, Lucas, antes de quedarse dormido le pide a su mamá que le cuente como fue su llegada a casa desde el precioso continente africano. Sus papás fueron a buscarlo cuando era muy pequeño y a él le encanta recordar continuamente su historia y sentirse tan profundamente amado. La autora, y madre de Lucas, logra un viaje físico y emocional perfectamente equilibrado y con un tacto tan fantástico y delicado como inusual. Destacan la descripción de África, de sus sentimientos hacia el niño, del proceso legal, de los primeros momentos con él, de los nervios durante el trámite y del maravilloso resultado final: que Lucas vuelva con sus nuevos padres a un hogar lleno de amor y cariño. Se dilucida la importancia que el acompañamiento en la maternidad y paternidad adoptivas tienen para Crespí Rupérez, la obra es bella, pero también se hace muy necesaria. Por supuesto, las coloridas y preciosistas ilustraciones de Laura Cyinder acompañan (y amplifican) una historia hermosa en toda la extensión de la palabra. Y por si fuera poco, además encontramos multitud de valores como la constancia, la lucha por los sueños o el amor incondicional de padres a hijos y viceversa. El amor mueve montañas y encuentra nuestra mejor versión en cada uno de nosotros.
