The book is an introduction to the theory of cubic metaplectic forms on the 3-dimensional hyperbolic space and the author's research on cubic metaplectic forms on special linear and symplectic groups of rank 2. The topics include: Kubota and Bass-Milnor-Serre homomorphisms, cubic metaplectic Eisenstein series, cubic theta functions, Whittaker functions. A special method is developed and applied to find Fourier coefficients of the Eisenstein series and cubic theta functions. The book is intended for readers, with beginning graduate-level background, interested in further research in the theory of metaplectic forms and in possible applications.

Mixed Automorphic Forms Torus Bundles And Jacobi Forms written by Min Ho Lee and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2004-05-13 with Computers categories.

This volume deals with various topics around equivariant holomorphic maps of Hermitian symmetric domains and is intended for specialists in number theory and algebraic geometry. In particular, it contains a comprehensive exposition of mixed automorphic forms that has never yet appeared in book form. The main goal is to explore connections among complex torus bundles, mixed automorphic forms, and Jacobi forms associated to an equivariant holomorphic map. Both number-theoretic and algebro-geometric aspects of such connections and related topics are discussed.

Quantization And Non Holomorphic Modular Forms written by André Unterberger and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2000-08-28 with Mathematics categories.

This is a new approach to the theory of non-holomorphic modular forms, based on ideas from quantization theory or pseudodifferential analysis. Extending the Rankin-Selberg method so as to apply it to the calculation of the Roelcke-Selberg decomposition of the product of two Eisenstein series, one lets Maass cusp-forms appear as residues of simple, Eisenstein-like, series. Other results, based on quantization theory, include a reinterpretation of the Lax-Phillips scattering theory for the automorphic wave equation, in terms of distributions on R2 automorphic with respect to the linear action of SL(2,Z).

Differentiability Of Six Operators On Nonsmooth Functions And P Variation written by R. M. Dudley and has been published by Springer Science & Business this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1999-06-21 with Mathematics categories.

The book is about differentiability of six operators on functions or pairs of functions: composition (f of g), integration (of f dg), multiplication and convolution of two functions, both varying, and the product integral and inverse operators for one function. The operators are differentiable with respect to p-variation norms with optimal remainder bounds. Thus the functions as arguments of the operators can be nonsmooth, possibly discontinuous, but four of the six operators turn out to be analytic (holomorphic) for some p-variation norms. The reader will need to know basic real analysis, including Riemann and Lebesgue integration. The book is intended for analysts, statisticians and probabilists. Analysts and statisticians have each studied the differentiability of some of the operators from different viewpoints, and this volume seeks to unify and expand their results.

Multiple Dirichlet Series Automorphic Forms And Analytic Number Theory written by Solomon Friedberg and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2006 with Mathematics categories.

Multiple Dirichlet series are Dirichlet series in several complex variables. A multiple Dirichlet series is said to be perfect if it satisfies a finite group of functional equations and has meromorphic continuation everywhere. The earliest examples came from Mellin transforms of metaplectic Eisenstein series and have been intensively studied over the last twenty years. More recently, many other examples have been discovered and it appears that all the classical theorems on moments of $L$-functions as well as the conjectures (such as those predicted by random matrix theory) can now be obtained via the theory of multiple Dirichlet series. Furthermore, new results, not obtainable by other methods, are just coming to light. This volume offers an account of some of the major research to date and the opportunities for the future. It includes an exposition of the main results in the theory of multiple Dirichlet series, and papers on moments of zeta- and $L$-functions, on new examples of multiple Dirichlet

Harmonic Functions On Groups And Fourier Algebras written by Cho-Ho Chu and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2004-10-11 with Mathematics categories.

This research monograph introduces some new aspects to the theory of harmonic functions and related topics. The authors study the analytic algebraic structures of the space of bounded harmonic functions on locally compact groups and its non-commutative analogue, the space of harmonic functionals on Fourier algebras. Both spaces are shown to be the range of a contractive projection on a von Neumann algebra and therefore admit Jordan algebraic structures. This provides a natural setting to apply recent results from non-associative analysis, semigroups and Fourier algebras. Topics discussed include Poisson representations, Poisson spaces, quotients of Fourier algebras and the Murray-von Neumann classification of harmonic functionals.

Combinatorial Stochastic Processes written by Jim Pitman and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2006-05-11 with Mathematics categories.

The purpose of this text is to bring graduate students specializing in probability theory to current research topics at the interface of combinatorics and stochastic processes. There is particular focus on the theory of random combinatorial structures such as partitions, permutations, trees, forests, and mappings, and connections between the asymptotic theory of enumeration of such structures and the theory of stochastic processes like Brownian motion and Poisson processes.

Tutorials In Mathematical Biosciences Ii written by James Sneyd and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2005-06-22 with Mathematics categories.

This book presents a series of models in the general area of cell physiology and signal transduction, with particular attention being paid to intracellular calcium dynamics, and the role played by calcium in a variety of cell types. Calcium plays a crucial role in cell physiology, and the study of its dynamics lends insight into many different cellular processes. In particular, calcium plays a central role in muscular contraction, olfactory transduction and synaptic communication, three of the topics to be addressed in detail in this book. In addition to the models, much of the underlying physiology is presented, so that readers may learn both the mathematics and the physiology, and see how the models are applied to specific biological questions. It is intended primarily as a graduate text or a research reference. It will serve as a concise and up-to-date introduction to all those who wish to learn about the state of calcium dynamics modeling, and how such models are applied to physiological questions.
