Un caso misterioso, que lleva al desconcierto, es el núcleo de "La marca del ganado", creación de Pablo De Santis que abre esta antología. ¿Quién mata y mutila las vacas en ese pueblo rural? La intriga, en "Un error de Ludueña", de Elvio E. Gandolfo, se despliega, en cambio, en la gran ciudad, donde van y vienen con sus "tareas", como inocentes ciudadanos, los profesionales del crimen. Pero, como reza el título, no todo sale bien. El siguiente cuento, "Tinta y sangre", de Juan Sasturain, retoma los ingredientes a los que alude el nombre del presente volumen y nos traslada a la oscura languidez de un cabaret del trópico, tan caro al policial negro estadounidense, al que el autor parece parodiar. Por último, en "Las señales", de Adolfo Pérez Zelaschi, la ciudad -una Buenos Aires de otra época- vuelve a ser el escenario de un enigma, inquietantes sospechas y un sorprendente final.

Nuevas relaciones con el conocimiento, nuevas instituciones, nuevos reglamentos, nuevos textos, nuevas discusiones: el ingreso a los estudios superiores constituye un complejo desafío para la pedagogía del nivel que debe asumir este trayecto de formación de los estudiantes como una problemática específica. Revisar las expectativas sobre lo que deben poseer como capital cultural quienes ingresan a los estudios superiores, qué prácticas de lectura y escritura deberían manejar con idoneidad, cuáles son los textos cuyas fórmulas probadas asegurarían el éxito en los nuevos contextos es el punto de partida que invita a una reflexión pedagógica que –sin dejar de reconocer los obstáculos o dificultades que los nuevos estudiantes encuentran a la hora de leer y escribir textos en el nuevo espacio– no se agote en la mirada deficitaria sobre los ingresantes. Ellos llegan a la puerta de los estudios superiores siendo poseedores de una experiencia cultural diversa, y desde ella construyen sus recorridos hacia las propuestas que el nivel les ofrece. Por eso, las prácticas de lectura y escritura en zonas de pasaje requieren un abordaje amplio que ponga en juego otras categorías más allá de las referidas a las cuestiones textuales. Proponemos entonces transitar ese modo –social e histórico– de apropiación de la cultura escrita en diversidad de géneros más flexibles que permitan a los jóvenes ir apropiándose de las convenciones epistemológicas del nivel. Los autores, profesores e investigadores de universidades nacionales y de profesorados terciarios, ponen en juego en Leer y escribir en las zonas de pasaje una serie de experiencias y una diversidad de reflexiones acerca de este momento crucial de la formación de los futuros graduados del nivel superior.
