Film and Television Culture in China gives a provocative analysis of film and television culture in China. Hu Zhifeng first gives a panoramic picture of Chinese culture in which film and television was born and shaped. The First and Second Comings of capitalism are conceptual shorthands used to capture the radical changes in global geopolitics from the Opium War to the end of the Cold War and beyond.
