Escrever é intertextualizar sobre a vida? Escrever é tecer diálogos com outros textos. Dependerá, claro, da visão de mundo do autor, de seu receptor e dos repertórios de leituras vigentes. Para a concepção bakhtiniana, “texto é uma unidade da manifestação do pensamento, da emoção, do sentido, do significado” e “linguagem é uma atividade humana”. Já Orlandi (2007) conceitua o texto da seguinte forma: “o texto não é considerado apenas como um objeto fechado, com começo, meio e fim. Ele tem relação com outros textos, com suas condições de produção e com outros discursos” (2007:54). O texto não deve ser compreendido como um amontoado de palavras. O texto constitui-se dialogicamente com outros textos através da intertextualidade e da interdiscursividade. Para formarmos escritores profícuos é preciso considerar o processo de produção, o contexto, os interlocutores, os gêneros discursivos, os recursos utilizados pelos interlocutores para dizer o dito e o não dito. A produção de um texto não é mera distribuição de palavras ou sentenças, mas um ato de linguagem, um ato da prática social mediado pela interação e dialogismo. Espero, caro leitor, que este livro possa trazer um pouco da sensibilidade que a vida emana a cada instante.

"This collection brings together textual commentaries on thirty representative works of literature in Portuguese - either complete poems or extracts from longer works - ranging from the medieval lyric of the 13th century, through the poetry and drama of the Portuguese Renaissance, the great Realist novels of the nineteenth century, early twentieth century Modernism and post-1974 writings through to the present day, while also including examples of 19th- and 20th- century Brazilian literature. The authors chosen - poets, dramatists and novelists - are generally regarded as iconic writers, and the three most famous canonical Portuguese authors (Luis de Camoes, Fernando Pessoa, Jose Saramago) are featured, but the texts selected for commentary strike a balance between a focus on well-known and lesser-studied works. Imagen y palabra: En torno a "El Cristo de Velázquez" es un análisis estilístico e interpretativo del Poema cristológico de Miguel de Unamuno. El poema está inspirado en el famoso cuadro del pintor español Diego Velázquez. Unamuno comienza a componer estos poemas poco después de haber publicado su magna obra, "Del sentimiento trágico de la vida" (1913). En el poemario el Rector expone todos sus pensamientos y pensamientos en torno a la figura de Cristo. Es un poemario con profundas raíces bíblicas. A través de cada poema, escrito en clásicos endecasílabos, el poeta refleja su profunda fe en el Cristo Crucificado. Junto a su obra póstuma, "Diario intimo", esta obra poética no deja lugar a duda de que el conflictivo don Miguel murió creyente. Se encuentra aquí, pues, el "Unamuno contemplativo" frente al "Unamuno agónico" de los críticos. Eliezer Oyola hace un examen minucioso de cada poema, notando las alusiones bíblicas, literarias, históricas y mitológicas.
