Già nel titolo, questo libro associa la multimedialità alla postmodernità, quasi a prendere subito le distanze da ciò che, nonostante tutto, appiattisce e spinge verso l’omologazione, trovando in questo modo il proprio oggetto specifico nell’area dell’efficacia piuttosto che nei contesti dell’efficienza. Le domande riguardanti l’operare didattico non vengono eluse, ma accolte e trascese, senza pregiudizi e senza facili entusiasmi, puntando l’attenzione ai problemi centrali che non riguardano il che cosa e il come, nè il dove e il quando, il chi e il perché; ma riguardano invece la persona, la sua identità, il suo rapportarsi al mondo. Con taglio pedagogico e sensibilità educativa viene conferita forza propositiva al progetto didattico, si esaminano gli ambienti di apprendimento, si pone in evidenza il fascio delle relazioni e i dinamismi che costituiscono l’ambiente, si dischiudono orizzonti di senso, in una prospettiva complessiva che accetta la fatica e la scommessa, crede nella persona e sa guardare al futuro.
