Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Geschichte Europas - Mittelalter, Frühe Neuzeit, Note: 1,3, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Veranstaltung: Proseminar, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Mönchtum bedeutet durch strenge Regeltreue in konsequenter Nachfolge Christi zu leben. Die exakte Befolgung biblischer Richtlinien bringt dadurch für klösterliche Gemeinschaften oft zwangsläufig ein Leben in isolierter Einsamkeit mit sich. Distanz zum Weltgeschehen steht dem Dasein in der Welt gegenüber. Doch auch Mönche sind Menschen und ihre Vergangenheit ist nicht ausschließlich die Geschichte fortlaufender Vervollkommnung. Perfekte Lebensform im biblischen Sinne blieb so manches Mal blanke Theorie. Der durch constitutiones und regula konstruierte Alltag erstickte vielfach in unüberlegter Konvention und ritualisierter Gewohnheit. Im 11. und 12. Jahrhundert brachen Geistliche in ganz Europa mit den eingespielten Gewohnheiten und forderten die Rückkehr zur forma prima1. Die Bibel sollte wieder zum Leitfaden klösterlichen Lebens werden. Das Zeitalter der Reform war angebrochen. In Deutschland präsentierte das Kloster Hirsau die Keimzelle jener Entwicklung. Als monastisches Reformzentrum schrieb das kleine Klösterchen im Nordschwarzwald Kirchengeschichte und erlangte so Weltrum. Im folgenden werde ich mich mit der Frage beschäftigen, warum gerade in Hirsau dieser, die Kirchengeschicht grundlegend verändernde Gedanke aufkeimen und sich durchsetzen konnte. Im Anschluss daran werden Ausführungen über Verlauf und Inhalte der Hirsauer Reform erläutert. Abschließend werde ich auf ihre Folgen und die Geschichte des Klosters nach 1092 eingehen.

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Kunst - Architektur, Baugeschichte, Denkmalpflege, Note: 1,0, Pädagogische Hochschule Ludwigsburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit gibt eine Übersicht über die Geschichte des Benediktinerklosters Hirsau, von der die bedeutende Hirsauer Reform ausging, unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Bauwerke. Neben dem Kloster Maulbronn stellte Hirsau eines der bedeutendsten Klöster im Mittelalter dar. Die Entstehungslegende von Sankt Aurelius berichtet, dass in Hirsau einst ein Kirchlein, welches dem heiligen Nazarius geweiht war, gestanden haben soll. Das Errichtungsdatum wird mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit zwischen 765 und 768 angesetzt – was allgemein anerkannt ist. Nazarius wurde als Märtyrer in Lorsch an der Bergstraße verehrt, weshalb frühe Beziehungen dorthin vermutet werden. Die Reliquien ruhen seit 765 an der Bergstraße, bei 768 handelt es sich um das Todesjahr von König Pippin dem Kurzen, zu dessen Regierungszeit soll die Stiftung durchgeführt worden sein. Die Legende berichtet, dass "eine edle und reiche Wittib, gräflichen Geschlechts von Calw, mit Namen Helizena, die um das Jahr anno 645 ein Kapell zu S. Nazarius genannt...zum Gottesdienst, unten an dem Ottenbronner Berg, ehe das alt Kloster (= erstes Aureliuskloster) aufgangen, gebauet habe." Man geht heute davon aus, dass die Legende die Jahreszahl falsch überliefert hat.
