This book explores the why and the how of women’s participation in armed struggle, and challenges preconceived assertions about women and violence, providing both a historic and a contemporary focus. Inhaltsangabe:Problemstellung: Die Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem ständigen Konflikt von Pressefreiheit auf der einen und Persönlichkeitsschutz auf der anderen Seite - am Beispiel der Bild-Zeitung. Sie ist als Straßenverkaufszeitung in ganz besonderem Maße darauf angewiesen, täglich um den Leser zu werben. Unter dem derzeitigen Chefredakteur Kai Diekmann geschieht dies, indem als Kaufargument Prominente im Mittelpunkt der Berichterstattung stehen: Je persönlicher, je intimer, desto größer die Chance, dass am Kiosk zu BILD gegriffen wird. Doch nicht alle Prominente wollen Details über sich und aus ihrem Privatleben veröffentlicht sehen und ihre Persönlichkeitsrechte schützen sie. Dass der Konflikt bei BILD ein virulenter ist, zeigt der Blick in die Historie, auf das Rechtsverständnis der Zeitung von den 50er-Jahren bis in die späten 90er-Jahre. Mithilfe von Leitfadeninterviews wird das Gerüst des Persönlichkeitsschutzes von Personen des öffentlichen Lebens dargestellt sowie die Probleme, die sich aus dem mitunter exhibitionistische Agieren Prominenter ergeben. Den Hauptteil der Arbeit nimmt eine Inhaltsanalyse der an der Pressekammer des Hamburger Landgerichts behandelten Verfahren aus dem Jahr 2003 ein. Das Ergebnis zeigt, dass die BILD-Zeitung der häufigste Adressat eines Rechtsstreits war und die Betroffenen überdurchschnittlich gute Chancen hatten, ihre Ansprüche durchzusetzen. Vorwiegend ergingen Unterlassungen im Wege der Einstweiligen Verfügung. Gezeigt wird zudem, dass überdurchschnittlich viele Begleiter Prominenter gegen BILD vorgingen. Im zweiten Teil der Untersuchung verdeutlichen vier Fälle Prominenter, wie die Boulevardzeitung bei sensationsträchtigen Themen mit Persönlichkeitsrechten umging und wie sich die Betroffenen unter anderem die SPD-Politiker Wolfgang Thierse und Ulla Schmidt - juristisch wehrten. Gang der Untersuchung: Der Untersuchungsteil ist in zwei Abschnitte untergliedert: die Auswertung der Verfahren an der Zivilkammer 24 des Hamburger Landgerichts, der Pressekammer , und die kleine Fallsammlung. Mitte der 90er-Jahre registrierte Renate Damm, die damalige Chefin der Springer-Rechtsabteilung, durchschnittlich 20 presserechtliche Verfahren im Monat, zwei Mitarbeiter ihres achtköpfigen Stabes sind vorwiegend mit Bild beschäftigt .
