Intent on nursing injured British soldiers in Egypt, Grace is soon swept along in the violent reality of the Mahdist War. When she is captured by victorious Mahdist forces, Grace finds herself among the General's harem. But under the lash Grace discovers a sexual enlightenment, and within the Mahdi's bed she loses herself in the wildest of abandons. In the same gloriously graphic vein as The Lustful Turk this uncompromising classic of Victorian erotica mixes lust and war in a visceral and emotive manner. A fitting addition to any collector of Orientalist movement works and the once-forbidden.

With sketchbooks under their arms and a magnifying glass in hand, each child interacts with the path in a different way. Together, they create a whole world for themselves. The Path (working title) encourages us to take a closer look and be curious about our surroundings. For readers of all ages, this book shows that the only thing we can count on for certain is change.

In the assembly-room of the Society of Aristocratic Flagellants, Mayfair, Colonel Spanker strives to confirm his thesis that the punishment of a refined young lady produces more exquisite pleasures than flogging lower-class women and prostitutes... Experimental Lecture by Colonel Spanker is one of the most notorious nineteenth-century English flagellant novels. Henry Spencer Ashbee's Catena Librorum Tacendorum describes it as 'the most coldly cruel and unblushingly indecent of any we have ever read, [it] stands entirely alone in the English language.' (Fraxi, 1885: 250) This edition of Experimental Lecture also includes the full text of The Yellow Room or, Alice Darvell's Subjection, a late Victorian novella focusing on the delights of birching and the pleasures of cruelty. Following the death of her aunt, beautiful Alice Darvell is sent to live with Sir Edward Bosmere, a stern disciplinarian and devotee of Venus Callipyge, who initiates her into the mysteries of the rod. The Yellow Room was first published in 1891. The name of the author, M. Le Comte du Bouleau, is a pseudonym. Authorship is attributed to an English lawyer, Stanislas Matthew de Rhodes (1857-1932). He is also credited with writing Gynecocracy (1893) and The Petticoat Dominant (1898), which are available from Birchgrove Press.

A Full And True Account Of The Wonderful Mission Of Earl Lavender Which Lasted One Night And One Day written by John Davidson and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008 with Bachelors categories.

Following in the tradition of Don Quixote, Earl Lavender is the story of two impecunious gentlemen who run away from their conventional lives, style themselves 'Earl Lavender' and 'Lord Brumm', and set out to preach the new creed of Evolution. Their hilarious romp across London leads them to all sorts of strange adventures, such as a wild hansom cab chase, a sojourn among a subterranean society of flagellants, and the discovery of the evolutionary 'Missing Link'. A key Decadent text, Earl Lavender (1895) is also Davidson's response to what he saw as some of the more ridiculous ideas and behaviours of the age. This new edition features a new introduction by Mark Valentine and a reproduction of the original frontispiece by Aubrey Beardsley. John Davidson (1857-1909) was a Scottish poet, playwright, and novelist. Although during his lifetime he was compared favourably with Hardy, Housman, and Yeats, and admired by Shaw and T. S. Eliot, Davidson's reputation has languished since his tragic suicide. Long out of print, Earl Lavender is now restored to modern audiences, who will find that Davidson's humour and satire are as fresh today as in 1895.
