Fuzzy Systems And Data Mining Ix written by Antonio J. Tallón-Ballesteros and has been published by IOS Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-12-15 with Computers categories.
Fuzzy systems and data mining are indispensible aspects of the digital technology on which we now all depend. Fuzzy logic is intrinsic to applications in the electrical, chemical and engineering industries, and also in the fields of management and environmental issues. Data mining is indispensible in dealing with big data, massive data, and scalable, parallel and distributed algorithms. This book presents the proceedings of FSDM 2023, the 9th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Data Mining, held from 10-13 November 2023 as a hybrid event, with some participants attending in Chongqing, China, and others online. The conference focuses on four main areas: fuzzy theory, algorithms and systems; fuzzy application; data mining; and the interdisciplinary field of fuzzy logic and data mining, and provides a forum for experts, researchers, academics and representatives from industry to share the latest advances in the field of fuzzy sets and data mining. This year, topics from two special sessions on granular-ball computing and the application of generative AI, as well as machine learning and neural networks, were also covered. A total of 363 submissions were received, and after careful review by the members of the international program committee, 110 papers were accepted for presentation at the conference and publication here, representing an acceptance rate of just over 30%. Covering a comprehensive range of current research and developments in fuzzy logic and data mining, the book will be of interest to all those working in the field of data science.

Stream Data Mining Algorithms And Their Probabilistic Properties written by Leszek Rutkowski and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-03-16 with Computers categories.
This book presents a unique approach to stream data mining. Unlike the vast majority of previous approaches, which are largely based on heuristics, it highlights methods and algorithms that are mathematically justified. First, it describes how to adapt static decision trees to accommodate data streams; in this regard, new splitting criteria are developed to guarantee that they are asymptotically equivalent to the classical batch tree. Moreover, new decision trees are designed, leading to the original concept of hybrid trees. In turn, nonparametric techniques based on Parzen kernels and orthogonal series are employed to address concept drift in the problem of non-stationary regressions and classification in a time-varying environment. Lastly, an extremely challenging problem that involves designing ensembles and automatically choosing their sizes is described and solved. Given its scope, the book is intended for a professional audience of researchers and practitioners who dealwith stream data, e.g. in telecommunication, banking, and sensor networks.

Data Mining Methods For Knowledge Discovery written by Krzysztof J. Cios and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Computers categories.
Data Mining Methods for Knowledge Discovery provides an introduction to the data mining methods that are frequently used in the process of knowledge discovery. This book first elaborates on the fundamentals of each of the data mining methods: rough sets, Bayesian analysis, fuzzy sets, genetic algorithms, machine learning, neural networks, and preprocessing techniques. The book then goes on to thoroughly discuss these methods in the setting of the overall process of knowledge discovery. Numerous illustrative examples and experimental findings are also included. Each chapter comes with an extensive bibliography. Data Mining Methods for Knowledge Discovery is intended for senior undergraduate and graduate students, as well as a broad audience of professionals in computer and information sciences, medical informatics, and business information systems.

Data Mining And Decision Support written by Dunja Mladenic and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2003-09-30 with Computers categories.
Data mining deals with finding patterns in data that are by user-definition, interesting and valid. It is an interdisciplinary area involving databases, machine learning, pattern recognition, statistics, visualization and others. Decision support focuses on developing systems to help decision-makers solve problems. Decision support provides a selection of data analysis, simulation, visualization and modeling techniques, and software tools such as decision support systems, group decision support and mediation systems, expert systems, databases and data warehouses. Independently, data mining and decision support are well-developed research areas, but until now there has been no systematic attempt to integrate them. Data Mining and Decision Support: Integration and Collaboration, written by leading researchers in the field, presents a conceptual framework, plus the methods and tools for integrating the two disciplines and for applying this technology to business problems in a collaborative setting.

Complex Networks Ix written by Sean Cornelius and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-02-15 with Science categories.
This book aims to bring together researchers and practitioners working across domains and research disciplines to measure, model, and visualize complex networks. It collects the works presented at the 9th International Conference on Complex Networks (CompleNet) in Boston, MA, March, 2018. With roots in physical, information and social science, the study of complex networks provides a formal set of mathematical methods, computational tools and theories to describe, prescribe and predict dynamics and behaviors of complex systems. Despite their diversity, whether the systems are made up of physical, technological, informational, or social networks, they share many common organizing principles and thus can be studied with similar approaches. This book provides a view of the state-of-the-art in this dynamic field and covers topics such as group decision-making, brain and cellular connectivity, network controllability and resiliency, online activism, recommendation systems, and cyber security.

Data Mining A Heuristic Approach written by Abbass, Hussein A. and has been published by IGI Global this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2001-07-01 with Computers categories.
Real life problems are known to be messy, dynamic and multi-objective, and involve high levels of uncertainty and constraints. Because traditional problem-solving methods are no longer capable of handling this level of complexity, heuristic search methods have attracted increasing attention in recent years for solving such problems. Inspired by nature, biology, statistical mechanics, physics and neuroscience, heuristics techniques are used to solve many problems where traditional methods have failed. Data Mining: A Heuristic Approach will be a repository for the applications of these techniques in the area of data mining.
