I personally don't like "tell all" books. They seem to seek to uncover and tarnish the reputations of those we admire, when we already know of their humanity. It usually speaks more about the insecurity of the author than it does of their subject. What makes matters worse, is that the person written about is no longer around to defend or explain themselves. But that is not the nature of Daughter of Destiny. Not in the least. I walked away with an even greater respect for this woman of God-with the hope that God could use me, too. I think that was probably the reason she wanted the whole truth to be told. To give all of us hope. Bill Johnson, Bethel Church, Redding, CA, Author of Born for Significance and The Way of Life It is impossible to write about Kathryn Kuhlman without writing about God. Her life was not her own. In a very real way, she was a daughter of destiny. Chosen. Ordained to be His special handmaiden. Jamie Buckingham Wherever Kathryn Kuhlman went, people who once thought miracles impossible learned to believe in miracles. Before she died, she asked that only Jamie Buckingham be allowed to write her official biography-withholding nothing. Here, then, is the story, not of a plaster saint, but of a very human woman-of marriage and divorce, of betrayal within her own staff, of the shadowy events that surrounded her death. It is the story of Kathryn Kuhlman that few knew, as she wanted it told-all of it. It is the story of the redhead from Missouri who became the foremost woman evangelist of the 20th century. Enhanced with personal photographs from Kathryn's family album, illustrating her life story.

However, after years of seclusion and silence, the former co-manager, who disclosed evidence to help settle the lawsuit between the Knowles and the estate of Andretta Tillman, finally speaks up and not only sets the record straight, but reveals some very telling accounts of what really went on behind the scenes and in the lives of the main people involved with the group. He writes a compelling and detailed expose of how Tillman secured both the Elektra and Columbia/Sony record deals, as well as created and managed the group, formerly known as Girls Tyme, up to the time of her death. The Making of a Child of Destiny: The Andretta Tillman Story is one of hope, faith, and triumph, and a testament of what can be overcome and achieved when one dares to dream.

Daughter Of Destiny written by Benazir Bhutto and has been published by Harper Perennial this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-04-15 with Biography & Autobiography categories.

Daughter of Destiny, the autobiography of Benazir Bhutto, is a historical document of uncommon passion and courage, the dramatic story of a brilliant, beautiful woman whose life was, up to her tragic assassination in 2007, inexorably tied to her nation's tumultuous history. Bhutto writes of growing up in a family of legendary wealth and near-mythic status, a family whose rich heritage survives in tales still passed from generation to generation. She describes her journey from this protected world onto the volatile stage of international politics through her education at Radcliffe and Oxford, the sudden coup that plunged her family into a prolonged nightmare of threats and torture, her father's assassination by General Zia ul-Haq in 1979, and her grueling experience as a political prisoner in solitary confinement. With candor and courage, Benazir Bhutto recounts her triumphant political rise from her return to Pakistan from exile in 1986 through the extraordinary events of 1988: the mysterious death of Zia; her party's long struggle to ensure free elections; and finally, the stunning mandate that propelled her overnight into the ranks of the world's most powerful, influential leaders.

Beautiful and charismatic, the daughter of one of Pakistan's most popular leaders -- Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, hanged by General Zia in 1979 -- Benazir Bhutto is not only the first woman to lead a post-colonial Muslim state, she achieved a status approaching that of a royal princess, only to be stripped of her power in another example of the bitter political in-fighting that has riven her country. From her upbringing in one of Pakistan's richest families, the shock of the contrast of her Harvard and Oxford education, and subsequent politicisation and arrest after her father's death, Bhutto's life has been full of drama. Her riveting autobiography, first published in 1988 and now updated to cover her own activities since then and how her country has changed since being thrust into the international limelight after 9/11, is an inspiring tale of strength, dedication and courage in the face of adversity.

First Man written by James R. Hansen and has been published by Simon and Schuster this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-11-27 with Biography & Autobiography categories.

On July 20, 1969, the world stood still to watch American astronaut Neil A. Armstrong become the first person ever to step on the surface of another heavenly body. Upon his return to Earth, Armstrong was celebrated for his monumental achievement. He was also--as NASA historian Hansen reveals in this authorized biography--misunderstood. Armstrong's accomplishments as an engineer, a test pilot, and an astronaut have long been a matter of record, but Hansen's access to private documents and unpublished sources and his interviews with more than 125 subjects (including more than fifty hours with Armstrong himself) yield the first in-depth analysis of this elusive, reluctant hero.
