Et le verdict résonne encore dans ma tête à l’énoncé de leurs condamnations pour trafic de drogue : quatre ans ferme pour notre fils et du sursis pour sa compagne. J’aurais dû être une mère éplorée ce jour inoubliable de janvier 2012, quand notre fils a quitté ce tribunal, menottes aux poignets, encadrés de policiers, pour être conduit en prison. Pourtant, malgré ma tristesse, je me suis sentie soulagée, libérée enfin d’un long cauchemar. Pendant plus de quinze ans, notre fils a été toxicomane mais nous ne l’avons jamais laissé tomber et il est toujours resté debout. C’est l’année 2011 qu’il s’est effondré pour ne plus se relever, du jour où il a rencontré Hel une jeune toxicomane. Unis pour le pire, ils m’ont inspiré le titre de mon premier livre retraçant l’enfer où ils nous ont conduit, dans leur seule obsession de se procurer leur drogue du lendemain. Finalement, ce que j’espérais au fond de moi se réalisait ; la prison restait le seul moyen de mettre fin à ce couple machiavélique et, surtout, la seule issue pour sauver notre fils d’une mort certaine. Voilà plus d’un an qu’il purge sa peine et la prison va changer notre destin en croisant, sur son chemin, une main tendue lui offrant sa dernière chance.

Il comprendra qu’il doit prendre des distances avec la destructivité qui touche ses proches pour pouvoir avancer. Durant les vingt années que traverse le roman, il cherchera à se dégager de cette place assignée par les liens familiaux. Découvrez sans plus attendre ce roman psychologique dans lequel Timothé, un jeune artiste, est contraint de s'éloigner de ses proches pour avancer. EXTRAIT Tim sentait qu’il était, par moments, traversé par des sentiments extrêmement négatifs, qui pouvaient l’emporter loin du côté du désespoir. Surtout quand il parlait avec Frédéric. Ce garçon semblait toujours tellement optimiste. Bien qu’intelligent, il paraissait parfois fort naïf. Pour contrer cela, Tim maintenait des positionnements opposés. Il tentait de calmer ses élans en lui expliquant que la vie était dure, morne et laissait peu d’espoir. Il ne se reconnaissait pas quand il parlait comme ça. Il appréciait Fred, mais il ne s’aimait pas quand il était avec lui. Tim ne ressentait pas cette lourdeur, ce manque d’élan vital quand il était en compagnie de Nicolas et Alphonse. Tim allait maintenant vers ses dix-sept ans et ne comprenait toujours rien à la personne qu’il était. C’était comme si plusieurs personnalités se battaient en lui pour exister. Il pouvait être tour à tour plein de vie, d’espoirs, de rêves, très actif, puis à un autre moment très noir, sombre, mélancolique ou encore sentir poindre en lui une colère qui ne le quittait pas pendant plusieurs jours. À d’autres moments, il était enjoué pour des riens et ne voyait que beauté partout.
