Toen hij in 2010 klaar was met zijn studie, wilde hij eigenlijk verder leren op Zweinstein, maar helaas had hij geen aanleg voor magie. Er zat dus niets anders op dan werk zoeken terwijl hij zijn droom om schrijver te worden najoeg. Zo was hij social media-manager bij een tech start-up, dagloner bij Disney, en gaf hij zelfs slaapdeprivatie een nieuwe betekenis toen hij meewerkte aan de campagne voor een Amerikaanse senator. Nu woont hij in Los Angeles, waar hij verhalen schrijft over ruimteschepen, tovenaars, geesten en meer bizarre dingen.
