We still have hope that I will survive - we see the doctors at the Mayo Clinic on October 15, 2013. As I wrote my letter, I realized it could be a resource for another dying parent or bereft child. I hope my husband never has to give this letter to my daughter, but it will be there if I die. That's the only thing this mother could think to do. This is a short memoir and is slightly over 10,000 words.
