Del otro lado del mar de Miguel Osvaldo Erdozain es una antología de composiciones narrativas y líricas vívidas y esencialmente humanas. Los textos narrativos pertenecen al subgénero de la microficción y como tal son originales, breves, concisos y asombrosamente sugestivos. La singularidad radica en que los microrrelatos vehiculizan, mediante una anécdota mínima y comprimida, las inquietudes y profundas cavilaciones del autor. El tiempo, los sueños, la muerte, el ansia de evasión, el deseo de asir lo inasible son algunos de los temas que pueblan sus páginas. Hay textos que, en clave fantástica, nos trasladan a situaciones que generan extrañeza, perplejidad e incertidumbre. Otros, en cambio, conducen por el camino de la añoranza a las inolvidables vivencias de la infancia. A veces, el narrador manifiesta su conciencia como autor del texto que está escribiendo y nos revela el proceso de producción. En muchos casos, a través de la intertextualidad, se apela a la complicidad del lector para expandir el relato mediante la evocación de obras literarias, personajes o teorías científicas. Junto a los relatos encontramos intercalados un grupo de poemas en los que, con connotaciones emotivas, con un lirismo acendrado se replican los temas, la condensación de sentidos, el estilo y las inquietudes del autor. Los microrrelatos con su estilo ágil, lenguaje preciso y efectivo, cargado de significación y los poemas con su musicalidad cadenciosa interpelan al lector y lo invitan a reflexionar, a sacudir ideas y premisas y a descubrir qué hay Del otro lado del mar.
