Ma il Progettista Capo, come veniva chiamato, morì nel 1966, a soli 59 anni e come sappiamo ad andare sul nostro satellite furono gli americani, con la missione Apollo 11. Ma se Korolev non fosse morto... È da quest'ultima premessa che nasce la Trilogia di romanzi di Paolo Aresi con protagonista proprio Korolev, a cui è dedicato lo speciale del numero 225 di Delos Science Fiction, la nostra rivista di approfondimento. I tre romanzi dello scrittore bergamasco – Il caso Korolev, Korolev: la luce di Eris e La stella rossa di Korolev, tutti pubblicati da Delos Digital – immaginano che Korolev si sia lanciato con un razzo N1 verso Marte e che ci sia arrivato morente, ma sopravvive e viene ritrovato 118 anni dopo da astronauti americani e da qui si dipana una storia che si traforma in una vera e propria epopea cosmica. Fantascienza - rivista (44 pagine) - Nell'ultimo numero del 2021 uno speciale su "Ghostbusters: legacy" e servizi su "Ai confini della realtà", Roy Mann, "Eternals", "Hawkeye" e l'antologia "Quando il sole bruciava". Immaginate una ragazzina che in un campo di grano americano, uno di quelli che abbiamo visto in innumerevoli pellicole, spara con un fucile protonico. Sì, proprio quel fucile protonico, agganciato ad uno zaino protonico. Cosa può accadere? Ma è semplice: il grano si trasforma istantaneamente in popcorn, che vola in alto e dappertutto e ovviamente la ragazzina ne afferra un po’ per mangiarli. È questa l’immagine che è arrivata alla mente di Jason Reitman e che di fatto ha dato il via al film Ghostbusters: Legacy, che continua la mitica saga cinematografica avviata da suo padre Ivan Reitman negli anni Ottanta. A questo film abbiamo dedicato lo speciale di Delos Science Fiction, l’ultimo numero dell’anno 2021, il 231. Lo speciale è composto da una recensione di Arturo Fabra, una breve intervista al regista Reitman e un pezzo su dieci curiosità sulla saga che forse non sapevate. Ma questo finale di 2021 ci ha riservato anche molte novità in casa Marvel e ne parliamo in un articolo di approfondimento. Così come non potevamo dare conto della ripubblicazione di un fumetto della fantascienza italiana che s’ispira ad alcuni classici della narrativa americana di fantascienza. Vincenzo Graziano, infatti, ci trasporta nelle pagine di Roy Mann, fumetto di Attilio Micheluzzi e Tiziano Sclavi che molto deve al romanzo Assurdo Universo di Fredric Brown e non solo. Infine, gli scrittori Franco Ricciardiello e Delos Veronesi ci presentano in anteprima la loro antologia distopica Quando il sole bruciava (Delos Digital), che presenta alcuni racconti classici di altrettanti scrittori italiani. Giuseppe Vatinno ci proietta nel fantasmagorico mondo della serie TV Ai confini della realtà, mentre Sandro Baattisti ci fa riflettere sull’attuale momento in cui viviamo, tra pandemia e società contemporanea. Infine, il curatore della rivista Carmine Treanni nel suo editoriale ci dà conto di una notizia molto importante per l’editoria italiana di fantascienza: la preparazione di un Meridiano tutto dedicato a Philip K Dick. This is the first substantial commentary on Lucian's Verae Historiae ("True Histories"), a fantastic journey narrative considered the earliest surviving example of Science Fiction in the Western tradition. The Introduction situates the work in the context of Lucian's oeuvre, especially his preoccupation with distinguishing truth from fiction and exposing the lies of philosophers. In their commentary, the editors trace the sources and the meaning of the numerous intertextual allusions and parodies of philosophers, poets, historians and paradoxographers. The Verae Historiae emerges from this scrutiny as a remarkably complex text with some very "modern" concerns: it problematizes the act of reading, allegorical interpretation, authorial reliability, and the validity of cultural norms and literary genres.
