Fantascienza - rivista (60 pagine) - È online il numero 237 di Delos Science Fiction, con uno speciale su Thor: Love and Thunder e servizi sul fumetto Halo e la serie TV Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Thor è l'unico personaggio del Marvel Cinematic Universe ad aver avuto il primato di ben 4 film da solista. Il merito è anche del regista neozelandese Taika Waititi, che grazie a un misto di azione e umorismo ha ridato linfa nuova al Dio del Tuono grazie a Thor: Ragnarok, il terzo della saga. Ora, il regista è sul Grande Schermo con Thor: Love and Thunder, dove non solo c'è sempre Chris Hemsworth come protagonista, ma niente poco di meno che Natalie Portman, attrice che dopo il secondo film aveva dichiarato di non voler più partecipare ai film con il mitico personaggio a fumetti. Anche qui è stato Waititi a convincere l'attrice, anche con la promessa che sarebbe diventata Mighty Thor, la Potente Thor. E così è stato. Infine, c'è un inedito Christian Bale, irriconoscibile nei panni di Gorr il macellatore di dei. Al film della Marvel abbiamo dedicato lo speciale di luglio del numero 237 di Delos Science Fiction, con un ritratto del regista e un articolo sul film di Arturo Fabra, che registra un calo della creatività nel MCU. I servizi di questo numero sono dedicati a Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, la nuova incarnazione televisiva dell'universo creato da Gene Roddenberry che ha entusiasmato non solo i fan ma anche il nostro Fabra. Vincenzo Graziano, invece, ci parla della graphic novel Halo, tornata in libreria grazie anche al successo della serie TV e di romanzi di Annarita Stella Petrino. Fantascienza - rivista (75 pagine) - Il numero 247 di Delos Science Fiction ospita uno speciale sul nuovo film di Christopher Nolan, Oppenheimer È il 1942, la Seconda guerra mondiale infuria in Europa e si appresta ad allargare i propri confini. La Germania di Hitler sembra inarrestabile e se dovesse sviluppare una bomba atomica potrebbe essere la fine per il mondo intero. Gli Stati Uniti decidono così di radunare i migliori scienziati, fisici in particolare, per dar vita ad una propria bomba atomica. Nasce così il Progetto Manhattan, nei laboratori segreti costruiti in fretta e in furia a Los Alamos, nel deserto del New Mexico. A capo del progetto viene messo J. Robert Oppenheimer. A questo fisico e scienziato il regista di Interstellar e Inception, Christopher Nolan, ha deciso di realizzare il suo ultimo film, dal titolo Oppenheimer. Pur non essendo in senso stretto un film di fantascienza, non c’è dubbio che l’avvento della bomba atomica ha cambiato la storia dell’umanità e , per certi versi, anche la stessa storia della fantascienza, tanto che spesso si fa riferimento all’anno 1945, quando vennero sganciate due bombe rispettivamente sulle città giapponesi di Hiroshima e Nagasaki, come di un anno spartiacque, un prima e dopo in cui la science fiction non è più stata la stessa. Al film di Nolan, in uscita il prossimo 23 agosto in Italia ma già sugli schermi americani, abbiamo dedicato lo speciale del numero 247 di Delos Science Fiction, con due articoli a firma di Emanuele Manco, curatore, giornalista e direttore di Fantasy Magazine, ma anche esperto del rapporto tra scienza e fantascienza. Per lo spazio rubriche, segnaliamo una nuova antologia, uscita sul mercato anglosassone, della serie Wild Cards curata da George R.R. Martin e la classifica di 5 film fantascientifici tutti da ridere. Lo scrittore Andrea Cattaneo, invece, ci trascina sulla Fantascienza “disinnescata”, mentre Giuseppe Vatinno ci racconta un classico del cinema come L’invenzione di Morel. Negli approfondimenti, Arturo Fabra ci racconta la nuova serie Marvel Secret Invasion, mentre Fabio Novel ci proietta nell’antologia da lui curata dal titolo Sounds & Visions. Tributo a David Bowie (delos Digital), che come il titolo stesso annuncia è un omaggio al grande David Bowie. Sempre Fabra è l’autore dell’editoriale di questo numero, mentre l’anteprima narrativa è di Paolo Aresi co il racconto tratto da Sounds & Visions. Tributo a David Bowie.
