Facharbeit (Schule) aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Didaktik für das Fach Deutsch - Literatur, Werke, Note: 13,00, , Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Jeder kennt sie, die alten Geschichten der Götter und Heroen aus der Antike. Jeder kennt Charaktere wie den starken Herkules und die schöne Helena. Doch was ist der Grund dafür, dass uns diese Figuren auch heute noch im Fernsehen oder in der Literatur begegnen? Die Basis dafür schaffen die alten Mythen aus dem klassischen Altertum, die sich mit existenziellen Fragen des Lebens auseinandersetzen. Hierbei werden Werte wie Schuld, Rache oder Sühne verpackt in Geschichten, die den Menschen berühren, vermittelt . Da diese ethischen und moralischen Vorstellungen der Grundstock jeder Gesellschaft sind, lässt sich sagen, dass die Menschen „mit Mythen [...] ihre Kultur erschaffen“ haben . Der österreichische Schriftsteller und Kulturphilosoph Egon Friedell schreibt in einem seiner Bücher: „Unsere Mythologie lesen wir täglich dreimal in der Zei-tung“ . Damit spielt er auf die Präsenz der Themen der Mythologie in der heutigen Zeit an. In meiner Arbeit werde ich diese Präsenz mittels der Tragödie „Antigone“ von Sophokles an deren Rezeption „Die Berliner Antigone“ von Rolf Hochhuth darstellen. Beide Werke handeln von einer jungen Frau, die im Verstoß gegen das Rechtssystem der jeweiligen Zeit, ihren Bruder bestattet. Der Vergleich der beiden Werke umfasst eine Charakterisierung der Personen, sowie eine ausführliche Darstellung des Konflikts zwischen Antigone bezie-hungsweise Anne und der Obrigkeit. Im Hinblick auf den historischen Rahmen der Tragödie und der Novelle werde ich die Umstände zur jeweiligen Zeit analy-sieren. Ziel meiner Arbeit ist es herauszufinden, welche Gründe Rolf Hochhuth dazu bewegt haben, die antike Figur der Antigone als Vorbild für seine Novelle zu nehmen.

Die deutsche Literatur der letzten vier Jahrzehnte hat in den verschiedenen politischen Kontexten, in denen sie sich entwickelt hat, eine beachtliche Anzahl von mythopoetischen Werken hervorgebracht, die Wurzeln in der klassischen Antike haben. Der gemeinsame Nenner dieser Werke ist das politische Moment. Der politisierte Mythos ist littérature engagée, insofern sein Ziel ein kritisch-aufklärerisches ist; zugleich aber ist er poésie pure, insofern er ein intertextuelles Spiel darstellt. Die künstlerischen Strategien - Historisierung, Ästhetisierung, Polemisierung, Allegorisierung und Methaphorisierung - werden als intertextuelle Dialogmodalitäten betrachtet und exemplarisch diskutiert. Akribisch durchgeführte Analysen von Werken von Rolf Hochhuth (»Die Berliner Antigone«), Günter Kunert (»Ikarus 64«), Volker Braun (»Iphigenie in Freiheit«), Botho Strauß (»Ithaka. Schauspiel nach den Heimkehr-Gesängen der Odyssee«) und Friedrich Dürrenmatt (»Minotaurus. Eine Ballade«) fungieren als Beitrag zur Diskussion um die Einheit, die Kontinuität und die Identität der deutschen Gegenwartsliteratur. Diese Diskussion gestaltet sich zugleich auch als Diskussion um die Identität der Postmoderne, zumal dem Umgang der Postmoderne mit dem antiken Mythos und der von ihr praktizierten Mythencollage eine Fülle von identitätsstiftenden Momenten innewohnt, die bisher wenig analysiert wurden.

Age-old scholarly dogma holds that the death of serious theatre went hand-in-hand with the 'death' of the city-state and that the fourth century BC ushered in an era of theatrical mediocrity offering shallow entertainment to a depoliticised citizenry. The traditional view of fourth-century culture is encouraged and sustained by the absence of dramatic texts in anything more than fragments. Until recently, little attention was paid to an enormous array of non-literary evidence attesting, not only the sustained vibrancy of theatrical culture, but a huge expansion of theatre throughout (and even beyond) the Greek world. Epigraphic, historiographic, iconographic and archaeological evidence indicates that the fourth century BC was an age of exponential growth in theatre. It saw: the construction of permanent stone theatres across and beyond the Mediterranean world; the addition of theatrical events to existing festivals; the creation of entirely new contexts for drama; and vast investment, both public and private, in all areas of what was rapidly becoming a major 'industry'. This is the first book to explore all the evidence for fourth century ancient theatre: its architecture, drama, dissemination, staging, reception, politics, social impact, finance and memorialisation.
