Fachbuch aus dem Jahr 1993 im Fachbereich Pflegewissenschaften, Note: Sehr gut, Universität Osnabrück, 43 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im gesamten Pflegebereich sind Tendenzen zu beobachten, die zu einer Professionalisierung und Eigenständigkeit der Pflege führen sollen. Zusammen mit dem Pflegeprozeß bildeten sich eine Anzahl Begriffe, die leider eher wie Schlagworte benutzt werden. Definitionen sind nicht klar, sie hängen vom Verständnis ihrer Verfasser und/oder Benutzer ab. Den Begriff "aktivierende Pflege" wählte ich nicht nur aus Interesse, sondern auch aus eigener Betroffenheit. In den sieben Jahren, die ich in der ambulanten Pflege arbeitete, hat sich sowohl mein Berufsbild als auch mein Pflegeverständnis gewandelt. Eine kurze Etappe lang, während und nach einer Weiterbildungsmaßnahme, konnte ich selbst erleben, was es bedeutet, mit einem "aktivierenden Pflegeverständnis" zu pflegen. So jedenfalls war der Begriff zu verstehen, vermittelte man uns, nicht etwa als eine Maßnahme, Technik oder Methode. Meine anfängliche Euphorie wurde bald abgelöst von Zweifeln. Nichts gegen aktivierende Maßnahmen - aber als Pflegeverständnis? Nie wäre mir der Gedanke gekommen, z.B. bei einer Sterbebegleitung von aktivierender Pflege zu sprechen. Oder was war mit den alten Menschen, die sich nicht "aktivieren" ließen, die ihre Ruhe haben wollten? Hatte meine Pflege da keine Qualität? Entspricht die aktivierende Pflege tatsächlich den Bedürfnissen aller alten Menschen? Gibt es nicht auch welche, die sich gerne in Abhängigkeit begeben, weil sie müde sind, keine Kraft mehr haben und trotzdem noch etwas Zuwendung haben wollen? Wer pflegt diese Menschen, wenn alle nur noch aktivierend pflegen wollen? Ich bin der Meinung, daß ein positiveres Altersbild die Pflege alter Menschen verändert. Ich meine aber, daß dieses nicht Aufgabe eines Begriffes wie "aktivierende Pflege" sein kann. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, aufzuzeigen, daß charakterisierende Begriffe wie "aktivierend" die Pflege einschränken. Statt der ständigen Neubildung von schmückenden Begriffen, die zu Leerformeln werden, ist es an der Zeit, nachzusehen, welche Pflegetheorien, Pflegekonzepte, Pflegemodelle es gibt, um daran weiterzuarbeiten. Erst dadurch wird pflegewissenschaftliches Arbeiten möglich.
