Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2001 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Linguistik, Note: 2, Technische Universität Dresden (Institut für Germanistik), Veranstaltung: HS: Modalitäten im Deutschen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der Konjunktiv der deutschen Gegenwartsprache stellt ein sehr komplexes Thema dar. Unter diesem Begriff wird hier ein Modus des Verbs verstanden, der zur Kennzeichnung der indirekten Rede dient und mit seiner Hilfe u.a. Vermutung, Bitte, Unsicherheit, Zweifel, Wunsch, Irrealität, Aufforderung zum Ausdruck gebracht werden. Man differenziert zwischen: Konjunktiv I ( Konjunktiv Präsens, Konjunktiv Perfekt und Konjunktiv Futur) und Konjunktiv II ( Konjunktiv Imperfekt und Konjunktiv Plusquamperfekt). Außer diesen, so genannten, synthetischen Formen existiert auch eine analytische, oder anders gesagt, umschreibende Form des Konjunktivs- Konditionalis. Eine richtige Verwendungsweise des Konjunktivs bereitet vielen Nicht-Muttersprachlern unter Umständen Probleme semantischer Natur. In der vorliegenden Arbeit habe ich mich auf das Phänomen des Konjunktiv II konzentriert. Der Konjunktiv I wurde nur zum Zweck des Vergleiches berührt. Das Ziel dieser Auseinandersetzung besteht darin, die Formen und Verwendung des Konjunktivs II sowie damit zusammenhängenden Fragenkomplex zu präsentieren. Infolge dessen werden auf die Bildungs- und Konkurrenzformen (mit dem Indikativ) des Konjunktivs.

Ob bei der Erörterung in der Schule oder beim Verfassen von Magister- und Examensarbeiten an den Universitäten – der Konjunktiv bleibt eine schwer zu überwindende Hürde. Schüler und Studenten wissen oftmals nicht, ob und, wenn ja, welcher Konjunktiv wie angewendet wird. Schuld dafür ist neben den falschen Erklärungen in vielen veralteten Grammatiken die seltene Gebräuchlichkeit in der mündlichen Sprache, die daraus resultiert, dass wir anders als in der geschriebenen Sprache häufig mit kurzen Sätzen arbeiten und auf gestische Mittel zurückgreifen können. Heute wissen die wenigsten, wie der Konjunktiv im Deutschen gebildet geschweige denn angewendet wird. Dabei ist der Konjunktiv, hat man seine Stellung und Funktion im Satz einmal richtig verstanden, leicht zu erlernen und für jeden nachvollziehbar. To attain these objectives, the series will aim for a standard comparable to that of the leading handbooks in other disciplines, and to this end will strive for comprehensiveness, theoretical explicitness, reliable documentation of data and findings, and up-to-date methodology. The editors, both of the series and of the individual volumes, and the individual contributors, are committed to this aim. The languages of publication are English, German, and French. The main aim of the series is to provide an appropriate account of the state of the art in the various areas of linguistics and communication science covered by each of the various handbooks; however no inflexible pre-set limits will be imposed on the scope of each volume. Inhaltsangabe:Zusammenfassung: Im täglichen Sprachgebrauch enthält die Redeerwähnung den Konjunktiv selten, weil andere Mittel die Wiedergabe deutlich kennzeichnen. Es sei denn, dass der Sprecher sich vom Gesagten distanzieren will. Den Konjunktiv findet man aber oft in der Presse und in den Nachrichtensendungen. Dort sind uneingeleitete Nebensätze und die berichtete Rede häufig und der Konjunktiv ist dann das einzige Kennzeichen der Redeerwähnung. Die Autoren von Grammatiken führen oft unklare Regeln mit vielen Ausnahmen an. Man trifft sowohl mehrdeutige Formen, wo sich unmissverständliche anbieten, als auch den Konjunktiv II und die würde-Form, wo eindeutige Konjunktiv-I-Formen zur Verfügung stehen. Es gibt gewisse Freiheit im Modusgebrauch in der indirekten Rede. Man kann keine festen Regeln angeben, sondern nur Tendenzen, die von unterschiedlichen Faktoren bestimmt werden. Die Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten sind im Konjunktiv enger begrenzt als im Indikativ und dadurch gibt es mehr Interpretationsmöglichkeiten, was zu Missverständnissen führen kann. Man muss auch darauf achten, dass der Konjunktiv aus der direkten Rede übernommen werden kann. In solchen Fällen muss man sich auf den Kontext stützen. Sowohl die Grammatiker als auch die Autoren von Lehrbüchern sind oft in der Vermittlung der indirekten Rede miteinander nicht einig, deswegen ist es schwierig, ihre Regeln zu konfrontieren. Die Analyse von Lehrbüchern zeigt aber Tendenzen in der Fremdsprachenmethodik, die mit Ergebnissen von Studien über den Modusgebrauch in der deutschen Gegenwartsprache im Einklang stehen (z. B. Reduktion auf die 3. Person, Tendenz zum Konjunktiv II und zur würde-Form). In der Presse erscheint nur die 3. Pers. Sing. und Plur., aber man kann man diese Tendenzen im Modusgebrauch nicht beobachten. Die würde-Umschreibung ist selten, auch bei schwachen Verben, und im Singular herrscht der Konjunktiv I. Gang der Untersuchung: Die indirekte Rede ist ein bedeutender Funktionsbereich des Konjunktivs und der absolut wichtigste Funktionsbereich des Konjunktivs I. Ich möchte mich mit diesem Thema in der vorliegenden Arbeit auseinander setzen, weil ich mich für die Sprachwissenschaft interessiere. Bei der Wahl des Themas ist auch der Mangel an aktuellen Untersuchungen in diesem Bereich ausschlaggebend.
