Eigentlich wollte der Autor Ehm Wee nur ein paar fast unglaubliche Erlebnisse aus seiner Kindheit in der DDR der 60er und 70er Jahre festhalten. Aber! Er bemerkte sehr schnell, dass er sie nur aufschreiben konnte, wenn er noch einmal in diese längst vergangene und vergessene Zeit eintauchen würde. So wurde aus Ehm Wee wieder der kleine Junge, der den großartigsten Opa der Welt hat. Tetti, so nennen ihn alle, lebt auf einem Resthof in der Mark Brandenburg. Seine Familie, die aus drei Generationen besteht, ist mit viel Liebe für ihn da, aber auch mit vielen Problemen! Und dann gibt es in der DDR, dem Land, das sich eingemauert hat, noch diesen mächtigen kleinen Mann mit Spitzbart und einer entsetzlich quietschigen Stimme, der alle Kinder, also auch Tetti, zu sozialistischen Persönlichkeiten erziehen will. Vor diesen Konflikten zu Hause und vor den Erziehungsmethoden in Kindergarten und Schule flieht der kleine Tetti in seine eigene fantastische Welt. Der Prinz, die Mummelkutze und der vergessene Russe machen seine Kindheit zu einem Abenteuer. Aber auch eine alte Maschinenpistole, Adolf Hitler auf dem Kirchturm, ein verlorenes Weihnachtsfest und natürlich die Krokodile prägen Tetti mehr als die sozialistische Einheits-Welt um ihn herum. ... und dann gibt es da noch diesen eigenartigen Toni-Traum, den der kleine Junge erst vergessen musste und der dann tatsächlich für den Vater Ehm Wee wahr wurde. Taucht mit ein in diese analoge Welt ohne Smartphone und ohne Internet und öffnet mit Tetti die Schatzkiste voller bunter Knöpfe.
