Entre as diversas tarefas que a coordenação pedagógica desenvolve na escola, o trabalho relativo à formação continuada de professores que atuam com estudantes com deficiência em contexto de trabalho é complexo porque se esbarra em diversas realidades políticas, pedagógicas, sociais e culturais que desafiam este profissional da Pedagogia de modo que esta formação seja contínua e de qualidade. Este profissional é (ou deveria ser) o suporte pedagógico para que o trabalho docente se desenvolva com qualidade, razão pela qual o trabalho formativo desenvolvido na coletividade entre pares é de fundamental importância para que a escola corresponda, de fato, a uma educação efetivamente inclusiva. O trabalho desenvolvido pela coordenação pedagógica em conjunto com professores no espaço escolar expressa um movimento dialético de construção coletiva da cidadania e de formação de pessoas, logo, este profissional, por si só, não pode desenvolver um trabalho sem a articulação com os demais profissionais da escola, sob pena de realizar um trabalho alienante, isolado, autoritário e desgastante que pouco contribui para a construção de uma escola inclusiva socialmente referenciada. Nesse contexto, a autora realizou uma pesquisa sobre como se constitui a complexidade do trabalho do coordenador pedagógico, nomeadamente, quanto ao desenvolvimento da formação continuada de professores centrada na Escola Inclusiva numa rede pública de Belém. Seus resultados constituem a base da presente obra.
