This book is outstanding for several reasons: it observes the role of time in fuzzy proposition calculations, provides calculation error analysis for small density of inference processing and gives numerous examples of fuzzy sets and systems programming with time incorporated into a fuzzy inference machine based on MATLAB and Mathematica packages. Major contributions in the field so far have only dealt with the JK fuzzy flip-flop; however, in this book the author covers analysis and simulation of various memory devices such as Delay, Trigger, Set-Reset etc. Simulations of fuzzy memory modules built with given memory cells are also presented. Audience: Readers from undergraduate to postgraduate level can comprehend the material of the book as it does not require high-level mathematics, yet it covers the entire spectra of fuzzy sets and possibility logic as related to time.

This book describes new, fuzzy logic-based mathematical apparatus, which enable readers to work with continuous variables, while implementing whole circuit simulations with speed, similar to gate-level simulators and accuracy, similar to circuit-level simulators. The author demonstrates newly developed principles of digital integrated circuit simulation and optimization that take into consideration various external and internal destabilizing factors, influencing the operation of digital ICs. The discussion includes factors including radiation, ambient temperature, electromagnetic fields, and climatic conditions, as well as non-ideality of interconnects and power rails.

Intelligent systems, or artificial intelligence technologies, are playing an increasing role in areas ranging from medicine to the major manufacturing industries to financial markets. The consequences of flawed artificial intelligence systems are equally wide ranging and can be seen, for example, in the programmed trading-driven stock market crash of October 19, 1987. Intelligent Systems: Technology and Applications, Six Volume Set connects theory with proven practical applications to provide broad, multidisciplinary coverage in a single resource. In these volumes, international experts present case-study examples of successful practical techniques and solutions for diverse applications ranging from robotic systems to speech and signal processing, database management, and manufacturing.

Practical Applications Of Computational Intelligence Techniques written by Lakhmi Jain and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Computers categories.

Computational intelligence paradigms have attracted the growing interest of researchers, scientists, engineers and application engineers in a number of everyday applications. These applications are not limited to any particular field and include engineering, business, banking and consumer electronics. Computational intelligence paradigms include artificial intelligence, artificial neural networks, fuzzy systems and evolutionary computing. Artificial neural networks can mimic the biological information processing mechanism in a very limited sense. Evolutionary computing algorithms are used for optimisation applications, and fuzzy logic provides a basis for representing uncertain and imprecise knowledge. Practical Applications of Computational Intelligence Techniques contains twelve chapters providing actual application of these techniques in the real world. Such examples include, but are not limited to, intelligent household appliances, aerial spray models, industrial applications and medical diagnostics and practice. This book will be useful to researchers, practicing engineers/scientists and students, who are interested in developing practical applications in a computational intelligence environment.

Separable Programming written by S.M. Stefanov and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2001-05-31 with Mathematics categories.

In this book, the author considers separable programming and, in particular, one of its important cases - convex separable programming. Some general results are presented, techniques of approximating the separable problem by linear programming and dynamic programming are considered. Convex separable programs subject to inequality/ equality constraint(s) and bounds on variables are also studied and iterative algorithms of polynomial complexity are proposed. As an application, these algorithms are used in the implementation of stochastic quasigradient methods to some separable stochastic programs. Numerical approximation with respect to I1 and I4 norms, as a convex separable nonsmooth unconstrained minimization problem, is considered as well. Audience: Advanced undergraduate and graduate students, mathematical programming/ operations research specialists.

Multi Objective Optimization System Designs And Their Applications written by Bor-Sen Chen and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-12-05 with Technology & Engineering categories.

This book introduces multi-objective design methods to solve multi-objective optimization problems (MOPs) of linear/nonlinear dynamic systems under intrinsic random fluctuation and external disturbance. The MOPs of multiple targets for systems are all transformed into equivalent linear matrix inequality (LMI)-constrained MOPs. Corresponding reverse-order LMI-constrained multi-objective evolution algorithms are introduced to solve LMI-constrained MOPs using MATLAB®. All proposed design methods are based on rigorous theoretical results, and their applications are focused on more practical engineering design examples. Features: Discusses multi-objective optimization from an engineer’s perspective Contains the theoretical design methods of multi-objective optimization schemes Includes a wide spectrum of recent research topics in control design, especially for stochastic mean field diffusion problems Covers practical applications in each chapter, like missile guidance design, economic and financial systems, power control tracking, minimization design in communication, and so forth Explores practical multi-objective optimization design examples in control, signal processing, communication, and cyber-financial systems This book is aimed at researchers and graduate students in electrical engineering, control design, and optimization.
